Warner Bros. Heads to Comic-Con with Panels, Activations, More for Ready Player One, Blade Runner 2049, Justice League, It, More

This is the news you’ve been waiting for.

Warner Bros. Pictures is heading back to the convention with some big plans — which include panels, offsite activations, the creepiest school bus in town, and more.

On Saturday, July 22 at 11:30AM, WB takes to their normal Hall H spot to showcase upcoming films, including Ready Player One, Blade Runner 2049, Justice League, and Aquaman. There will also be signings at the WB and DC booths, following the panel. Here’s a look at that line-up:

  • Director Steven Spielberg’s Ready Player One, based on the hugely popular Ernest Cline novel, with stars Tye Sheridan, Olivia Cooke and T.J. Miller, author/co-screenwriter Cline, co-screenwriter Zak Penn, and Spielberg on the panel
  • The long-awaited Blade Runner 2049, Alcon Entertainment’s sequel to the cult classic takes us 30 more years into the future, with stars Ryan Gosling and Harrison Ford, as well as Ana de Armas, Sylvia Hoeks, Robin Wright, Lennie James and Mackenzie Davis, writers Hampton Fancher and Michael Green, and the film’s director, Denis Villeneuve
  • And the greatest Super Heroes of the DC universe, united for the first time on the big screen, with stars Ben Affleck, Gal Gadot, Jason Momoa, Ezra Miller and Ray Fisher talking all things Justice League, as well as an early look at director James Wan’s Aquaman.

In addition to the Hall H presentation, WB will also be all around the Gaslamp. On Wednesday, July 19, the studio is kicking the festivities off with a screening of Annabella: Creation at the Westfield Horton Plaza, followed by a Q&A with director David F. Sandberg and stars Stephanie Sigman, Talitha Bateman, Lulu Wilson and Anthony LaPaglia. There’s no word yet on how to attend the screening, but we’ll update when we know more.

Then, Thursday-Sunday, those who are brave enough can hop on the creepiest school bus in town: an IT-inspired virtual reality installation that will have them skipping school for the foreseeable future. The bus and FLOAT: A Cinematic VR Experience will be located at the Interactive Zone across from Petco Park, and you don’t require a badge to attend.

They’ll also have the previously announced panel on Thursday, July 20 for The LEGO Ninjago Movie in 6A, but what you might not know is just who is attending. Stop by for stars Dave Franco, Justin Theroux, Abbi Jacobson, Olivia Munn, Kumail Nanjiani, Michael Peña and Zach Woods and producer Dan Lin, in what is surely way too small of a room. Panel attendees will receive an exclusive, movie-themed giveaway as well.

Looking for more LEGO Ninjago goodness? At 10AM Thursday-Sunday, fans looking for a good stretch before standing in their next line can head to the lawn at the Omni Hotel to participate in “NINJOGA,” a tai chi/yoga-like workout for the ninja in everyone, .

They’ll also have the previously announced Blade Runner 2049 Experience.
