Although Guardians of the Galaxy director James Gunn had hinted at it previously, he’s just made it official: He’ll be heading to San Diego Comic-Con this year after all, for a special surprise appearance.

Details are still under wraps, but Gunn promised on Twitter that it would be “something dark, sweet, and special”.

A new tease on Tuesday let us know that the announcement will be made at the Sony panel at 6:15PM – so it’s not Universal and the Dark Universe. Whatever it is, fans are in for a special surprise.
