WonderPost: Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., Acorn Publishing, Zenescope, Corgli & Co

With just over a week until SDCC’s sister convention kicks off in Anaheim, we’re pretty set with news, right? The schedule is out, the Quick Guide is live, maps have been published. If you feel like there’s no more WonderCon news, we’re here to prove you wrong. Artists like David Nakayama, Morghan Gill, and Jaime Ugarte are in full WonderCon prep mode, and it shows. Read on to see what more we can expect to encounter at WonderCon.

Here’s a look at what you might have missed:

  • Acorn Publishing has a tradition of bringing along some of their authors to hold signings at their WonderCon table, and this year will be no different. Look for authors Holly Kammier and Gene Desrochers when you visit Table #SP-54 in Small Press.

  • Rapunzel! Rapunzel! Let down your hair! Artist David Nakayama revealed his design for Zenescope’s WonderCon exclusive to the Twitterverse. You can find it at Booth #809 in the Exhibit Hall.

  • Everyone likes free con swag, right? Artist Keung Lee will have these Battle Maiden Knuckle Bomb promo cards to give away if you see him at WonderCon.

  • Designer Jaime Ugarte was excited to show off his latest acrylic pins he’ll have with him at WonderCon Table #B-33 in Artists’ Alley.

  • Many Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. fans are looking forward to their WonderCon panel this year to get a taste of the show’s sixth season. Get your popcorn ready, because not only will there be a screening of the season premiere, it will be in presented in DCP format with 5.1 surround sound as well.

  • Artist Morghan Gill will have this lovely series of five mini prints available at her WonderCon Table #D-36 in Artists’ Alley.

  • If you’re a cosplayer heading to WonderCon and want to book a photo session with Hayliejens Photography, they have Friday and Saturday slots available. DM them on Instagram to set up a session.

  • If it’s not a Corgi or Pug, is it even a dog? Visit Corgli & Co. at Booth #2129 to grab these adorable berries and cream Corgi keychains that were part of their Santa Blob collection.

  • If you’re looking for artist/illustrator Joey Spiotto at WonderCon, make sure you’re looking for his brand new banner he’ll have at Table #C-39 in Artists’ Alley.

  • Society of Illustrators of Los Angeles will have this beautiful piece contributed by artist Krister Eide available at Booth #1405 at WonderCon this year.

  • According to Badali Jewelry’s Instagram, they sold out of their “President B–ch” pins at ECCC, so if you want to show everyone you’re the HBIC, head to Booth #2019 as soon as you get to WonderCon.

  • Artist Penelope “Peng-Peng” Gaylord posted a teaser work-in-progress to Instagram of her latest Miles Morales/Gwanda piece she’ll have at Table #C-9 in Artists’ Alley at WonderCon.

  • If you’re a Red Dead Redemption fan like many others, you’ll want to head to Nerdy Prints’ Table #DL-36, where you’ll find their Dead Eye etched glasses and flasks.

  • Mount Olympus Comics tweeted the design for their WonderCon exclusive variant of Valkyrie Saviors #1 with artwork by Marcelo Trom and Ceci de la Cruz.

  • Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse has been one of the most talked about movies this year. Illustrator Kelly Yoo was inspired by it to create these fan art stickers she hopes to have available in time for WonderCon this year.
