WonderPost: Jen Bartel, Aspen Comics, Gigi Edgley, Sara Richard, Patrick Ballesteros

Less than a handful of days remain until WonderCon 2019 starts, but we’ve got a bushel full of news and announcements for you. Jen Bartel is bringing her enamel pin “A” game, Kristeen Parmeter wants to send you into “cuteness overload”, Patrick Ballesteros is gonna start a riot with his mini originals and much more.

Let’s take a look at the news you might have missed:

  • Although all has been quiet so far in regards to Skybound’s WonderCon plans, John Layman, writer of Chew has tweeted that he’ll be signing Saturday at their booth.

  • Artist Jen Bartel has released all her WonderCon plans and in addition to panels and signings, she’s bringing along some nice looking merchandise, including lots of enamel pins.

  • Comic artist and illustrator Brianna Garcia will be setting up shop at Artist Alley table A-17 and offering commissioned pieces all weekend. Make the mad scramble to her table to book yours.

  • Southern California artist Xanthe will have a booth at F-49 and is bringing some very fancy and functional zippered pouches for all your precious goods.

  • When not holding court at multiple panels, you’ll be able to find actress Gigi Edgley at several signings, including at the Power Morphicon Booth #947.

  • Adventure Time comic artist A.C. Esguerra will be bringing along copies of issue #6 for your signing pleasure, along with the original art the cover was made from. Add Artists Alley D-6 to your stops and pick up a copy.

  • Over at Artists Alley B-3, you can find Kristeen Parmeter and these ridiculously cute “Beanie Weenies” key-chains. I didn’t think she could top her Cat Catcher key-chains, but she proved me wrong.

  • Eisner nominated artist Sara Richard will have a selection of original paintings from the DC Tarot set she created. You can view and purchased them at Artists Alley B-25.

  • Writer Norm Harper will be signing copies of his books at the Collector’s Paradise booth, #1123, on Friday. You can also catch him at Small Press SP-99 on Friday and Saturday with Fanbase Press.

  • Aspen Comics is releasing a variant cover for Fathom Vol. 7 #8 that you will be able to buy at the  booth, #1213. Multiple Aspen creators will also be in attendance.

  • Ublog favorite Patrick Ballesteros is promising 5 new mini originals each day of WonderCon. You’ll want to speed walk to his table at Artist Alley A-07 to try to purchase one for yourself (and try to beat us to them!)

  • Hero Within is introducing a Captain Marvel exclusive t-shirt at WonderCon. You can find it at their booths, that’s right “booths” plural, #2009 and #2087.
