Breaking Down the Saturday San Diego Comic-Con 2022 Schedule – Major Rooms by Day

If you’re anything like us, you probably already have your Comic-Con schedule started (and if you don’t — why not?!). Especially with panels, though, it’s helpful to know what else is in the panel room, as sure, your panel might be a walk-in by itself — but what if something major is right after it? Plus, until we get the official schedule, this is also a good way to look at gaps, to see what is yet to be announced.

Without further ado, let’s look at the major panel rooms (Hall H, Ballroom 20, Indigo Ballroom, 6BCF, and 6A) for Saturday broken down by day and timeslot:

Hall H

10:15AM-11:15AM: Warner Bros Theatrical– Warner Bros. Pictures returns to Comic-Con International: San Diego, continuing the Studio’s tradition of bringing the fans an exciting Hall H presentation. This year’s lineup: the highly anticipated Black Adam and Shazam! Fury of the Gods, with huge stars Dwayne Johnson, Zachary Levi, and more.

11:30AM-12:30PM: House of the Dragon-Based on George R. R. Martin’s Fire & Blood, the HBO Original series House of the Dragon is set 200 years before the events of Game of Thrones and tells the story of House Targaryen. The series debut’s August 21 on HBO and HBO Max. Panelists include co-creator/executive producer George R. R. Martin, co-creator/co-showrunner/executive producer/writer Ryan Condal, co-showrunner/executive producer/director Miguel Sapochnik, and Paddy Considine (King Viserys Targaryen), Matt Smith (Prince Daemon Targaryen), Olivia Cooke (Alicent Hightower), Emma D’Arcy (Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen), Steve Toussaint (Lord Corlys Velaryon), Eve Best (Princess Rhaenys Targaryen), Fabien Frankel (Ser Criston Cole), Graham McTavish (Ser Harrold Westerling), Milly Alcock (Young Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen), and Emily Carey (Young Alicent Hightower). 12:45PM-2:15PM: Star Trek Universe Panel– The Star Trek Universe panel returns to Comic-Con, featuring exclusive back-to-back conversations with the casts and executive producers from Star Trek: Picard, Star Trek: Lower Decks, and Star Trek: Strange New Worlds to discuss the latest seasons of their hit series and tease what’s ahead, along with a few reveals and surprises.

2:30PM-3:30PM: The Sandman Special Video Presentation and Q&A- Prepare to enter The Dreaming as the live-action adaptation of Neil’s Gaiman’s beloved DC comic series arrives in Hall H of San Diego Comic-Con. There is another world that awaits us when we close our eyes and sleep–a place called the Dreaming, where The Sandman, Master of Dreams (Tom Sturridge), gives shape to our deepest fears and fantasies. But when Dream is unexpectedly captured and held prisoner for a century, his absence sets off a series of events that will change both the dreaming and waking worlds forever. The Sandman is a rich, character-driven blend of myth and dark fantasy woven together over the course of 10 epic chapters following Dream’s many adventures. Be among the first to find out what’s in store for the groundbreaking series, as well as some Comic-Con exclusives and surprises. This will be a special video presentation followed by a Q&A with series stars and producers. From Warner Bros. Television and based on the DC comic, season 1 of The Sandman debuts August 5 on Netflix.

3:45PM-4:45PM: Entertainment Weekly: Bold School– In EW’s Bold School series, power players in the entertainment industry share anecdotes about life lessons, how they found their voice, and how to pay it forward. Enjoy a lively discussion among fierce, fearless female and/or nonbinary forces in entertainment, opening up about the power and privilege of taking on roles that redefine the rules and refuse to yield.

5:00PM-6:00PM: Marvel Studios– Marvel Studios president and producer Kevin Feige and special guests provide an inside look at the ever-expanding Marvel Cinematic Universe.

6:30PM-8:00PM: A Panel with Kevin Smith!Kevin Smith is like the gum under the table at which actual celebrity guests sit during much better panels in Hall H: The guy just keeps sticking around. Not-so-Silent Bob returns to the Hall H stage with the cast of his first feature Clerks as they world premiere the opening 5 minutes of Lionsgate’s Clerks III! See Dante and Randal and Jay and Silent Bob on the Hall H screen before anyone else gets to see them in theaters this fall! Whether he’s dishing details about the just-announced season 2 of Masters of the Universe or rambling on about Marvel movies and the Mandalorian, ComiKev makes Comic-Con FAN-tastic!

Ballroom 20

10:15AM-11:15AM: Evil Exclusive Screening and Panel– It’s the cast of Paramount+’s hit series Evil! Now in its third season, the critically acclaimed psychological mystery examines the origins of evil along the dividing line between science and religion. The series focuses on a skeptical female psychologist who joins a priest and a contractor as they investigate the church’s backlog of unexplained mysteries, including supposed miracles, demonic possessions, and hauntings. Their job is to assess if there’s a logical explanation or if something truly supernatural is at work. Series stars Katja Herbers, Mike Colter, Aasif Mandvi, Christine Lahti, and Kurt Fuller host an exclusive sneak peek of an episode from Season Three followed by a moderated panel discussion.

11:30AM-12:15: The Simpsons– Writers, animators, and mind-blowing special guests reveal the adventures planned for The Simpsons in season 34 and beyond. Get a sneak peek at Treehouse of Horror XXXIII . . . and the never-before-attempted bonus Halloween episode! That’s right: Two Halloweens in 2022! Secrets will be revealed! Games will be played! And freebies—including original artwork—will be given away! Live in person for the first time since 2019—come and be astounded at how panelists let our bodies go!

12:30PM-1:15PM: American Dad– It’s a Smith Family Funday with “Steve” (Scott Grimes), “Klaus” (Dee Bradley Baker), and “Jeff Fischer” (Jeff Fischer) plus executive producer and co-creator Matt Weitzman, executive producer Joe Chandler, co-executive producer Nicole Shabtai. Moderated by American Dad! alum Jordan Blum, who will treat American Dad! fans to a first look at scenes from all-new episodes coming soon to TBS.

1:15PM-1:45PM: Family Guy– Get an exclusive, first look at the Family Guy season 21 premiere episode and watch the full episode months before the rest of the world! Afterward, you will get a special sneak peek at all of the hilarity and high jinks that will be coming next fall!

2:00PM-2:45PM: Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire– An epic story of love, blood and the perils of immortality based on the bestselling novel, Anne Rice’s Interview with the Vampire premieres this fall on AMC and AMC+. The EPs and cast discuss the creative process and bringing these iconic characters to life on the small screen for a modern audience and share some behind-the-scenes anecdotes from filming in New Orleans. Plus, a look at the debut of the series’ official trailer.

3:00PM-3:45PM: The Orville– From Emmy Award–winning executive producer and creator Seth MacFarlane, The Orville is finally back for season 3 and on HULU. The full crew of the U.S.S. OrvillePenny Johnson Jerald, Scott Grimes, Peter Macon, Jessica Szohr, J Lee, Anne Winters, Mark Jackson, and Chad L. Coleman—plus executive producers David A. Goodman and Brannon Braga and co-producer Tom Constantino talk on all things Orville and offer an exclusive first look at an upcoming episode from season 3.

4:00PM-4:45PM: The Players of Mythic Quest– Creator, executive producer, and star Rob McElhenney joins co-creator, executive producer, and showrunner Megan Ganz, executive producer and star David Hornsby, and cast members Charlotte Nicdao, Danny Pudi, Imani Hakim, Jessie Ennis, and Ashly Burch dive into the critically hailed Apple TV+ workplace comedy with moderator Craig Mazin and share an exclusive first look at the upcoming third season.

5:00PM-6:00PM: Critical Role: Q&A with the cast– The cast of Critical Role (Matthew Mercer, Marisha Ray, Ashley Johnson, Taliesin Jaffe, Liam O’Brien, Travis Willingham, and Laura Bailey) participate in a Q&A style panel moderated by Christian Navarro.

8:00PM-11:30PM: The San Diego Comic-Con Masquerade– The big Ballroom 20 stage becomes a celebration of fan costuming with a cosplay competition of impressive re-created and original design costumes crafted by our talented attendees. Not a dance or party, it’s a show on a stage with trophies, cash prizes, and other awards. Doors open for audience seating at 8:00, but picking up a free ticket early will save you from some line-waiting later. Free advance tickets are given out at noon on Saturday upstairs near Ballroom 20, and also at the Masquerade Desk after 3:00. If you don’t get a ticket, you can still attend if seating is available. The Master and Mistress of Ceremonies will again be writers/artists Phil Foglio and Kaja Foglio, with special live intermission entertainment from The Corps Dance Crew and the Saber Guild Star Wars performance group.

10:00AM-11:00AM: Cartoon Network: Winner Takes All– Cartoon Network fans come on down! Be the first in line to test your knowledge of all things Cartoon Network! This multi-show panel will determine which panelists (and audience members!) are the most discerning fans as they are quizzed on their favorite series for a chance to unlock first looks, sneak peeks, and inside scoop! Play along with the casts and crew of Craig of the Creek (Philip Solomon, the voice of Craig; Najja Porter, supervising director; Dashawn Mahone, supervising director), Teen Titans Go! (Pete Michail, executive producer; Tara Strong, the voice of Raven; Khary Payton, the voice of Cyborg), and We Baby Bears (Calvin Wong, showrunner; Connor Andrade, the voice of Grizz; Amari McCoy, the voice of Panda; Max Mitchell, the voice of Ice Bear). 11:15AM-12:15PM: Tuca & Bertie Season 3– This summer is sure to sizzle with the highly anticipated return of Tuca & Bertie on Adult Swim! Creator and executive producer Lisa Hanawalt will join series stars to dive into the upcoming third season of the Adult Swim animated comedy about colorful bird girl besties who navigate the ups and downs of adulting in life, love, and everything in between.

12:30PM-1:30PM: TV Guide Magazine’s Fan Favorites 2022– It’s the ultimate fandom mashup! The official magazine of television gathers an array of stars from some of your genre favorites for a lively hang that’s always a hoot. From personal tales of fan encounters and backstage antics to their own TV obsessions and an expanded audience Q&A , you’ll have a great time (you’ve waited three years!).

1:45PM-2:45PM: A Lasting Legacy in HollywoodJessica Tseang (pop culture speaker) discusses with special guests their journey in the entertainment industry, current success, and how they created a legacy in Hollywood that transcends to a lasting fandom.

3:00PM-4:00PM: Unlikely Hero, Unrecognized Powers: Reginald the Vampire– Featuring an exclusive first look at the new SYFY series coming this October as well as a thirst-quenching discussion with stars Jacob Batalon, Mandela Van Peebles, Em Haine, and Savannah Basley, showrunner Harley Petyon, and executive producers Jeremiah Chechik and Lindsay Macadam. Moderated by Fat Vampire author Johnny B. Truant, which the series is based on.

4:15PM-5:15PM: SYFY’S Resident Alien Invades Your Con- The cast of Resident Alien, Alan Tudyk, Sara Tomko, Corey Reynolds, Alice Wetterlund, Levi Fiehler, Elizabeth Bowen, and Judah Prehn, and executive producer/showrunner Chris Sheridan come together for the first time on the same stage to answer your burning questions and give you an out-of-this-world exclusive look into the season 2 return on August 10 on SYFY. Moderated by Ancient Aliens star and co-executive producer (and Resident Alien guest star), Giorgio A. Tsoukalos.

5:30PM-6:30PM: World Premiere of Peacock and UCP The Resort- Creator Andy Siara (Palm Springs) joins cast members William Jackson Harper (The Good Place, The Underground Railroad), Cristin Milioti (Palm Springs, Made for Love), Nina Bloomgarden (Hot Pink), and Luis Gerardo Méndez (Narcos: Mexico) for a special screening and conversation as they premiere the highly anticipated mystery thriller The Resort. It is a multi-generational, coming-of-age love story disguised as a fast-paced mystery about the disappointment of time. An anniversary trip puts a marriage to the test when the couple finds themselves embroiled in one of the Yucatan’s most bizarre unsolved mysteries that took place 15 years prior.

6:45PM-7:45: Back with a Vengeance: Chucky- He’s your friend ‘till the very end! Chucky creator/executive producer Don Mancini joins the voice of the iconic killer doll, Brad Dourif, with surprise guests for a can’t-miss conversation moderated by TV Guide Magazine’s Damian Holbrook and a behind-the-scenes look at season 2 returning this October on USA and SYFY.

10:30AM-11:30AM: Naruto 20th Anime Anniversary– Celebrate Naruto with fantastic voice actors Amanda C. Miller (Boruto) and Tom Gibis (Shikamaru). Joining them will be basketball star Jordan Brand and athlete and hardcore Naruto fan Zion Williamson! Find out how Naruto has inspired Jordan and his latest Jordan Brand collaboration. All attendees will get a limited-edition Naruto Anniversary poster

11:45AM-1:00PM: Quick Draw!– Some say it’s the fastest, funniest event at Comic-Con every year. It’s the annual Quick Draw! game as three of the fastest, funniest cartoonists rise to challenges hurled at the by the audience and your host, Mark Evanier. Competing this year, we have Scott Shaw! (Sonic the Hedgehog, The Simpsons), Lalo Alcaraz (La Cucaracha), and Mike Kazaleh (Ren & Stimpy, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles). As usual, wagering is strictly forbidden.

1:00PM-2:30PM: Cartoon Voices– Every year (with two recent exceptions), animation writer and voice director Mark Evanier assembles a panel of some of the best and most-heard cartoon voice actors in the business to demonstrate their craft. This time out, the dais consists of Alicyn Packard (The Tom & Jerry Show, The Mr. Men Show), Phil LaMarr (Justice League, Samurai Jack), Gregg Berger (The Garfield Show, The Transformers), Shelby Young (Star Wars, Baby Shark’s Big Show), Brian Hull (Hotel Transylvania, My Babysitter Story), and Townsend Coleman (The Tick, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles).

2:45PM-3:45PM: FOX’S Krapopolis– Creator Dan Harmon (Rick and Morty), executive producer Jordan Young, supervising director Pete Michels, and voice actors Matt Berry (What We Do in the Shadows), Pam Murphy (Mapleworth Murders), and Duncan Trussell (The Midnight Gospel) discuss their new animated series Krapopolis, and offer a sneak peek of the series. From animation studio Bento Box Entertainment (Bob’s Burgers) and created by Harmon for FOX, the series is set in mythical ancient Greece, centered on a flawed family of humans, gods, and monsters that tries to run one of the world’s first cities without killing each other. This is the first animated series to be curated entirely on the blockchain.

4:00PM-5:00PM: Conjuring Kesha: Supernatural Talk with the Global Pop Superstar– Global pop superstar Kesha and some of her famous friends explore the supernatural in Conjuring Kesha, an all-new docu-series from Discovery+ launching July 22. Kesha will be live and in-person with some of her celebrity friends to give fans an exclusive sneak peek into her paranormal adventures. Hear about Kesha’s lifelong fascination with the unknown and personal stories from her skeptical friends while on their cosmic exploration of life’s supernatural mysteries.

5:15PM-6:15PM: NBA Players Are Anime Fans, Too– NBA star De’Aaron Fox (Sacramento Kings), eigoMANGA editors, and others discuss anime and pop culture fandom and how it intertwines with his NBA basketball career. They will also discuss the fundamentals of writing comics centered around sports.

6:30PM-7:30PM: AEW: Heros and VillainsAEW: Dynamite and AEW: Rampage stars CM Punk, Jade Cargill, Darby Allin, Orange Cassidy, and Bryan Danielson will take the stage for a ringside view of the popular wrestling franchise airing weekly on TBS and TNT. Moderated by AEW commentator Excalibur, the discussion will dig into the heroes, villains, and championship quests through the eyes of the biggest names in wrestling.

7:45PM-8:45PM: The Asylum 25th Anniversary– The studio that brought you Sharknado, Z-Nation, and Black Summer turns 25! The Asylum joins a panel of some of their biggest stars from the studio’s 300 movies and series. The panel will also include a special Sharknado announcement, along with exclusive Comic-Con 25th Anniversary giveaways and sneak previews of upcoming Asylum releases, including Shark Side of the Moon and action series Disaster Strike Force.

10:00AM-11:00AM: Disney’s The Ghost and Molly McGee Fan Enhappification Panel– Creators/Executive producers Bill Motz and Bob Roth and executive producer Steve Loter hold a joyful celebration of this Disney Channel original series. Cast and crew will talk about their favorite moments, songs, and behind-the-scenes stories from season one, along with some fan surprises and hints at what’s to come in season two!

11:15AM-12:15PM: Entertainment Weekly: Game ChangersEW Game Changers profiles the people and projects making an impact on diversity, equity, and inclusion in entertainment. They discuss how they’re making a tangible, visible change in Hollywood in the DEI space. And the difference between paying lip service to representation and actually doing something about it.

12:30PM-1:30PM: Storytellers of Apple TV+Ronald D. Moore (co-creator, executive producer, For All Mankind, Simon Kinberg (co-creator/showrunner/executive producer, Invasion, See), executive producer and showrunner Jonathan Tropper and creator and executive producer of Mythic Quest, Megan Ganz, talk to Dominic Patten about creating the unique worlds of their series and share exclusive sneak peeks of upcoming episodes. David S. Goyer will also join from the set of Foundation with a special sneak peek at the upcoming second season.

1:45PM-2:45PM: Marvel Comics: Judgment Day– Marvel’s Nick Lowe (executive editor) and C. B. Cebulski (editor-in-chief) prepare to pass judgment on their fellow panelists, including Adam Kubert (Wolverine), David Pepose (Fantastic Four), and other Mighty Marvel guests! With the Eve of Judgment already behind us, see what trials and tribulations are just around the corner for the Avengers, X-Men, Eternals, and the rest of the Marvel Universe!

3:00PM-4:00PM: Marvel Comics: Next Big Thing– Marvel’s most famous panel returns! C. B. Cebulski (editor-in-chief), Nick Lowe (VP & executive editor), and editors Darren Shan and Lauren Bisom lead a line-up of luminaries including Christopher Cantwell (Iron Man), Ram V (Venom, Carnage), and Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing (Captain America: Sentinel of Liberty). What lies ahead for Shang-Chi, Ms. Marvel, Ant-Man, Ghost Rider, and the rest of the Marvel Universe? And what is the mysterious looming danger of the DARK WEB that threatens the future of Spider-Man and the X-Men? This is the only place you can find out! Come for the incredible reveals and stay for a unique giveaway!

4:15PM-5:15PM: The End is Nye with Bill NyeBill Nye the Science Guy is back and hosting an all-new science disaster series The End Is Nye with co-creators Seth MacFarlane and Brannon Braga. Each episode of the Peacock series explores an epic global disaster with engaging VFX spectacles, then demystifies them using science to show how we can survive, mitigate, and even prevent them. Sprinkled with Seth MacFarlane’s signature humor, this timely series explores end-of-the-world scenarios with Bill Nye at the center of it all. Executive producer Bill Nye, showrunner/EP Brannon Braga (Star Trek, The Orville, Books of Blood), and executive producer Erica Huggins (president, Fuzzy Door) debut the official trailer and share an exclusive sneak peek at their new Peacock series from Universal Television Alternative Studio and UCP.

5:30PM-6:30PM: First Look: Knights of the Zodiac– Toei Animation and Sony Pictures Worldwide Acquisitions invite you to be among the first to experience Knights of the Zodiac, a live-action feature film inspired by the classic 1980s manga and anime series. The star-studded cast includes Sean Bean (Game of Thrones), Famke Janssen (X-Men), Nick Stahl (Fear the Walking Dead), Mackenyu (Netflix’s upcoming One Piece), and Mark Dacascos (John Wick: Chapter 3: Parabellum). Key cast members Madison Iseman (Jumanji franchise) and Diego Tinoco (On My Block) participate on a panel featuring action-packed behind-the-scenes footage, alongside producer Yoshi Ikezawa (Halo Legends), director Tomasz Baginski (The Witcher), fight choreographer Andy Cheng (Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings), and 10 Cloverfield Lane screenwriters Josh Campbell and Matt Stuecken. Stefanie Woodburn moderates the discussion.

6:45PM-7:45PM: Hamster & Gretel– The cast and creative team behind Disney Channel’s Hamster & Gretel present a first look at the hilarious new superhero series before it premieres. Renowned animation veteran and creator Dan Povenmire, co-creator of the hit series Phineas and Ferb, will be joined by co-producer and story editor Joanna Hausmann and select cast members for a discussion about the world and the characters of this new music-filled animated series, moderated by actress and comedian Liza Koshy.

8:00PM-11:30PM: Masquerade Simulcast– Can’t get in to see the Masquerade? Don’t like large rooms full of people having fun? Then the Masquerade Simulcast is for you! In this room Comic-Con live casts the costumed-action from the Masquerade stage straight onto the screen . . . simultaneously!
