WonderPost 2023: Discounted Disneyland Tickets, Megan Porch, Shawn “Big Clutch”, Whatnot

We are hopefully just one day away from the complete WonderCon Anaheim 2023 programming schedule being released, but there’s plenty of news to tide you over! We’ve got updates on artists like Jeff Pina and Megan Porch (you’re going to want to make so mush-room for her items!), as well as the return of the discounted Disneyland tickets, and more.

Let’s take a look at the new you might have missed:

  • If you like Mighty Robots, Mighty Vehicles then you’ll want to navigate over to Jeff Pina’s Booth #C-59, for these Go-Bots color sketches.

  • While you’re there, check out Jeff’s print for the 1999 cult classic, The Mummy.

  • WonderCon attendees considering a visit next door to Disneyland will want to check out the discounted passes. These passes are valid from Tuesday, March 21, 2023 through Saturday, April 01, 2023. If for some reason you’re unable to use them, the price paid for a unused ticket can be applied to the purchase of a new ticket with an equal or higher price.

  • Handcrafted Geekdom’s newest Star Trek inspired print was clearly made with all phasers set to “STUN-ning!” You can find this and all her prints at booth #F-22.

  • Fans of Nicholas Cage will be able to find Christopher Reda’s adaptation of The Prisoners of the Ghostland Comic Book, based on the movie at the Critical Entertainment booth, #1309.
  • Megan Porch has been busy, busy, busy and it shows. Check out some of the mini originals that will be hitting her booth at WonderCon, #C-62. In addition, Megan is bringing back some fun-guys, and is returning with her popular mushroom designs in the form of enamel pins and totes.

  • After missing last WonderCon due to a visit to the the hospital, former Skybound senior VP of business development Shawn “Big Clutch” is making a triumphant return to the event, according to his newsletter. If you see him you could snag Big Clutch cards or stickers.

You’ll also be able to catch him on a Whatnot show, scheduled for Friday, March 24 at 4pm.

  • You can always count on artist Nan Hockin to bring the cute to any convention, and that includes WonderCon, where she will be tabling at #C-38. Visit Nan to see these cutie-patootie originals, plus much more.

  • If you are fascinated by the science and behind super-heroes and their gagets, you’ll want to pencil in Chris Garcia’s panel, Engineering Superhero Technology, Friday, March 24 in room #208.

  • Independent comic creator Kirt Burdick will have copies of his book, Death of Power available at WonderCon. Look for them at his friend Funky Bat’s booth, #D-55.
