We Can Be Heroes San Diego Comic-Con Exclusives, Plans

We Can Be Heroes is a local comic book store heading to San Diego Comic-Con this year, but they have big plans. They’ll be at the 3 Boys Productions/Headlocked Booth #1901, where they’ll be offering up special appearances, and a Keanu Reeves and Kevin Eastman signed prints.

[UPDATE July 15]

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles writer Tom Waltz will also be at the We Can Be Heroes booth, signing from:

  • Thursday, July 20 – 5pm-6:30pm
  • Friday, July 21 – 5pm-6:30pm
  • Sunday, July 23 – 4pm-6pm

[UPDATE July 14]

  • We Can Be Heroes will be hosting Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles artist Mateus Santolouco at their booth Thursday, Friday, and Sunday of Comic-Con, where they will have a limited amount of his Tentacle 10 “Last Ronin 1” 1:25 Santolouco variants and “Lost Ronin 1” Tentacle 10 Santolouco variants. [UPDATE July 13]

You’ll find stunt woman Lauren Mary Kim at the We Can Be Heroes Booth #1901 on Saturday, July 22. Best known for her motion-capture performance as Ahsoka Tano in The Clone Wars, doubling Smile Swallow as The Armorer, and her stuntwork in The Mandalorian, stop by to meet her.

You’ll also find Bad Man Bible: The Wicked Church Book of Illumination ashcan from Chino XL at the We Can Be Heroes booth, which is limited to 100 pieces.

Chino XL and Gift Revolver will both be signing on Saturday, July 22.

[UPDATE July 11 #2]

The Pop Verse has the details on a new San Diego Comic-Con exclusive heading to the We Can Be Heroes booth, from Vault Comics. Stop by Booth #1901 to pick up the Unnatural Order exclusive cover, from writer Christopher Yost (X-23Thor: Ragnarok). It’s limited to 100 copies and will only be available at the booth.

Yost and Nathan Gooden will also be signing on Thursday, July 20 from 12pm-1pm, and Friday, July 21 from 1pm-2pm.

Additionally, you’ll find Zack Kaplan and Christopher Cantwell signing for Mindset and The Blue Flame on Saturday, July 22 from 1pm-2pm.

[UPDATE July 11]

We Can Be Heroes will havea Bobby Breed “Do You Pooh” David Poohie Abearin Sane Variant at their booth, and artist Bobby Breed will also be signing on Thursday, July 20 from 12pm-2pm and Saturday, July 22 from 2pm-4pm. The prints are a “very low” print run, and there will also be a metal 1 of 1 set virgin and trade available. Stop by Booth #1901 for more information.

[UPDATE July 10 #2]

Actor Rory Ross, who will be doing photo ops and signing at the We Can Be Heroes Booth #1901, also revealed that there will be twenty The Mandalorian Covert Commander designer toy figures by Blue Box Dezigns available at the booth for $100 each. Each figure comes with a custom cardback, is signed, and also includes a selfie with Ross.

5% of every sale will benefit US Stead Family Children’s Hospital.

[UPDATE July 10]

In addition to the signed Keanu Reeves prints, We Can Be Heroes will also be offering a limited number of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Last Ronin prints, signed by Kevin Eastman and Tom Waltz. It’s extremely limited at only 10 copies at the con (with LE 100 worldwide). Proceeds will benefit the Golden Apple Foundation, which aims to preserve comics and art for future generations.

In addition, they announced several more meet and greets throughout the week, including The Mandalorian‘s Daniel Romero and The Mandalorian‘s Rory Ross, who will be doing autographs and photo ops all week. Stop by Booth #1901 for the daily schedule.

Voice actress Lizzie Freeman, best known for providing the English voices of Sempai in Magical Sempai and Trish Una in JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Golden Wind, will also be on hand on Saturday, July 22 with autographs and photo ops. Stop by Booth #1901 for the exact schedule.

[UPDATE July 9]

In support of the Golden Apple Foundation (which aims to preserve and showcase private collections of comics, books, arts, and collectibles for future generations to also enjoy), We Can Be Heroes will be offering a very limited number of BRZRKR prints, hand numbered and signed by co-creator Keanu Reeves.

The prints feature black and white art by Rafael Grampá, and 15 out of a limited edition run of 40 will be available at Booth #1901, with only three available per day, first come first serve. Proceeds will benefit the Golden Apple Foundation.

In addition, actor and voice performer Catero Alain Colbert, best known for his work on Boruto: Naruto Next Generations, Briarpatch, and Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, will be on hand at the booth for autographs and photo-ops, though the exact schedule is still TBA.
