EXCLUSIVE: Magma Comix Reveals WonderCon Exclusives, Signings, More

Magma Comix, an independent publisher committed to empowering comic creators and their creator-owned passion projects that began as an imprint of Heavy Metal magazine, is heading to WonderCon Anaheim for the first time this year, and they have big plans. It will also mark their first pop-culture convention, ever.

All weekend long, you can stop by Booth #1211 for signings with exciting names, including The Scale Trade writer Steve Orlando, The Principles of Necromancy co-writers Jackson Lanzing and Collin Kelly, series artist Eamon Winkle, and cover artist Darick Robertson. You’ll also be able to purchase the WonderCon exclusive The Principles of Necromancy #1, with a limited cover by Darick Robertson. Plus, it’s the perfect chance to get it signed by the creative team over the weekend at no cost.

The series follows Doctor Jakob Eyes, the world’s first necromancer, as he sets about overcoming death itself.

You can also join Magma Comix on Friday, March 29 for a panel at 2:30pm in Room 213AB for “Magma Comix Launches New Creator-Owned Titles”.  Kelly, Lanzing, Orlando, Robertson, and Winkle will all be on hand to discuss their titles The Principles of Necromancy, Silicon Bandits, The Scale Trade, and more, alongside Magma Comix founder and Hell’s Half Acre author Denton Tipton.

Finally, Editor-in-Chief Bobby Curnow will be offering portfolio reviews at the Magma Comix booth on Saturday, March 30 from 5pm-7pm and Sunday, March 31 from 2pm-4pm. Email submissions@magmacomix.com for more information on how to request an appointment.
