The WonderCon Anaheim Masquerade returns to celebrate it’s 20th anniversary on Saturday, March 29 at 8:30pm. The event will take place at the Convention Center’s ACC North Ballroom (subject to change) with doors opening at 8pm.
Entries for the Masquerade will be limited and will fill up quickly. All the 2025 entry details can be found on the official website.
The emcee for this years event will once again be author, actress and inspirational speaker Ashley Eckstein. Intermission entertainment will be provided by the Saber Guild, who will dazzle with an all new Star Wars inspired show. The Corps Dance Crew will also be there to perform a Dungeons and Dragons themed routine.
A panel of guest judges will award WonderCon trophies for Best In Show, Judges’ Choice, Best Re-Creation, Best Original Design, Best Workmanship, Most Humorous, and Most Beautiful and Best Young Fan. Winners in the above categories will receive Free 3-day Badges for WonderCon 2026. If a group wins, up to eight badges will be awarded.
Additionally, three other awards will be given out. Frank & Son Collectible will present to the entry their representatives deem the audience favorite a $500 cash prize. The Costumer’s Guild West will present a one-year membership to their CGW group, as well as one full scholarship and one night’s complimentary one-night hotel stay to their annual weekend conference, Costume College®, held the last weekend in July 2025 (winner may choose 2026 instead) in Woodland Hills, CA, to the entry their representatives select. Comic-Con International will be honoring long time Board Member Alan Campbell with a prize of $500 cash for the entry deemed Best Re-Creation of a Comic or Related Media Character or Characters.
You can find more information about these new special prizes, as well as the rules for entry, on CCI’s site.
Applicants in the Masquerade must have a badge to the convention (which will be held March 28-30). Badges are now available for purchase.
