[UPDATE March 25]

Believe it or not kids, there was a time when it wasn’t so easy to “puff, puff, pass” in most places. Folks had to be a little stealthy and thankfully the beloved Altoids tin was the perfect cover. If any of this is buzzing your memories then this next WonderCon debut from Little Shop of Pins is for you.

Take a break from the stress of life, without drawing too much attention to yourself with the latest in Little Shop of Pins “container series’ of enamel pins, the Curiously Strong Tin. These little pins are actually hinged so you can open them and there’s a convenient little lighter inside too.  Choose from Curiously Uplifting (Sativa), Curiously Relaxing (Indica) or the formidable Curiously Balanced (Hybrid).  Which one best suits your curiosity? Each pin is a limited edition of 50 and will be available at WonderCon for $15.50. Any pins remaining after the event will be available at littleshopofpins.com at a later date.

[UPDATE March 24]

Little Shop of Pins are collectors themselves — and not just of art and fun pop culture memorabilia, but also of simple things in life that make them happy. The company was founded by married couple Jason and Amy Liwag, and when they’re not busy creating pins that are both beautifully artistic and fun, they love to go antiquing. It’s a time-honored tradition for Amy, who is from the Midwest, and which helps her feel connected to their friends and family back home.

With that in mind, they’ve taken their hobby, and transformed their search for antique glass chicken dishes into inspired pin designs that reflect their love of the hunt. “Now instead of just looking at our dishes at home, we can look at them everywhere with these pins. These pins are modeled after actual chicken dishes we own so they’re very sentimental to us,” Jason Liwag said.

In addition, they’re also debuting a Vintage Pitcher Pin, inspired by their personal collection of bright and colorful dishware. “If you know what you’re looking for, you may have even seen as part of our displays at events. This pitcher is inspired by one of our favorite pieces in our collection,” Jason explained.

Fans will be able to pick up the Antique “Glass” Chicken Dishes pin (in white and/or bronze), the Vintage Pitcher Pin, and more (still to be announced) for $14 each at Booth #2130.

[UPDATE March 13]

The Anaheim Convention Center just happens to be next door to the Happiest Place on Earth (and no, we don’t mean Lester’s Possum Park)— and Little Shop of Pins is celebrating with a pin commemorating one of their favorite animated films ever. For their first WonderCon debut, things are getting decidedly goofy with Lester’s Girl, a soft enamel pin with head-tilting action. It’s a perfect nod to A Goofy Movie‘s 30th anniversary, and it’s limited to just 100 pieces at the con. Each pin will come with an exclusive “DEBUT” sticker on the package.

If you don’t snag one at WonderCon (or won’t be attending), you still have a chance to see the pins eye to eye, as any remaining pins will be available later at LittleShopofPins.com.
