Two, four, six, eight, who do we appreciate? Patrick Ballesteros, that’s who! He always manages to capture the spirt, joy and imagination of pop culture events in every thing he creates. Never has this been more true that this next WonderCon exclusive, the Anaheim Pennant Flag, is a throwback to keepsakes of the past.
Made of thick felt and measuring in at 24″ long and 9″ tall, this pennant celebrates the sunny environs of Anaheim, California.
Let’s hear right from Patrick regarding creating this joyful exclusive: “I remember collecting pennant flags from theme parks and places I visited as a kid. They weren’t just cool souvenirs; they became little time capsules, holding memories of where I had been and who I was with,” Ballesteros recalls. “That’s the feeling I hoped to capture with this exclusive—something that stays with you, not just as a piece of the con but as a reminder of the experience, the people, and the excitement of the moment. Hope you love it as much as I loved creating it!”

[UPDATE March 21]
You mustn’t be afraid to dream a little bigger, darling. And if your dream is for more Inception-themed artwork (look, it’s my dream, alright?), then Patrick Ballesteros is here to take you a level deeper with his latest print, debuting at WonderCon.
The new piece, “Hans Movement #1“, is part of his ongoing composer series, celebrating the way iconic film scores influence and add depth to our favorite films. This time, he’s celebrating Hans Zimmer and his iconic scores across masterpieces like Inception, the Dune series, and Blade Runner 2049.
The piece builds in layers, weaving your favorite characters and moments throughout the music (and maybe a surprise Symbiote). Much like the spinning top at the heart of Inception, this print will leave you questioning — is it reality, or just a dream? You’ll just have to see for yourself at #A-07 in Artist Alley, when you pick up the 11″x14″ print for $30.
[UPDATE March 18]
At WonderCon, what’s outside the convention center is just as magical as what’s inside. For many, the heart and soul of WonderCon is actually the area just outside the convention center, by the fountain — it’s a popular meeting place for cosplayers and other groups, and the first thing everyone sees on their way inside.
Patrick Ballesteros is paying homage to that space with his “The Outer Con“, a space that ironically Ballesteros rarely gets to see given that he’s typically on the show floor. The 11″x11” print populates the space with all your favorite fandoms, with plenty of fun easter eggs throughout.
The limited edition print is limited to 200 pieces, signed and numbered, and will be available for $40 at #A-07 in Artist Alley.
[UPDATE February 25]
Patrick Ballesteros has been busy fighting for good and getting into trouble — or at least, celebrating those who do. In his latest series, “LIL REBEL ROUSERS”, he shines a light on your favorite “rebels”, much like the ragtag group of heroes who destroyed the Death Star.
In “Galactic Rousers“, planned to be the first of four pieces, Ballesteros channels the spirit of the fearless resistance, with some very familiar faces that make up some of the galaxy’s most beloved “rebels”. Printed on metallic paper, these 8”x8″ prints will be available at WonderCon for just $20.
[UPDATE February 14]
Today is Valentine’s — so it seems like the perfect day to kickstart Ballesteros’ WonderCon debuts. Up first, he’s showing off his love for Dan Da Dan with a blend of culture and fun. The new piece from his Jeepney Culture series, “Dahan Dan Dan” cleverly plays on the Tagalog phrase “Dahan Dahan,” meaning “slow and careful,” as a nod to the series’ name. At $18 for a 5”x10” print on Fine Art Linen Paper, it’s a sweet, heartwarming piece to add to your collection. Stop by #A-07 in Artist Alley to pick it up.
