WonderPost 2025: Bob Gurr, Browncoats, Ace Continuado, Stamp Rally

We are just days away from WonderCon Anaheim 2025 at this point — 11, for those keeping track at home — and there’s still plenty of exciting announcements to come. We’ve got updates for you today on Disney legends, opportunities to volunteer and support charity, a cat-themed stamp rally, and some amazing artwork from amazing artists.

Let’s take a look at the news you might have missed:

Finally finishing up some sketch covers, I started a few months ago, to bring to @wondercon with me next week!

  • Shiny! The Browncoats are looking for some volunteers to help them out at WonderCon — so if you’re a fan of Firefly and already have a badge to the con, you can fill out the application online.

  • But that’s not all! The Browncoats are also looking for some Big Damn Heroes, to help them in their support of Feed the Streets LA and the Pasadena Humane Society. Simply stop by Booth #889, where you can buy merch, play the charity chopstick game, and enter their prize drawing, in support of both human and animal victims of the LA wildfires.

  • The Browncoats aren’t the only ones in need of volunteers. The Hollywood Horror Museum is also looking to scare up some help for WonderCon weekend, and are offering a free badge. Contact them for more information.

  • The legendary Bob Gurr — the creative force behind many of Disneyland’s most beloved ride vehicles, including the Monorail, Autopia, Matterhorn Bobsleds, and the Doom Buggies of the Haunted Mansion — is heading back to WonderCon to sign autographs, thanks to Fandom Productions. You’ll find him at Booth #266, where autographs will be available for $30 (or $40 for Premium items, including toys and collectibles). You can find more information online. Tony Anselmo, the voice of Donald Duck, will also be in attendance.

  • Put your claws up for some exciting new original artwork from The Jinja Ninja, heading to WonderCon Booth #2210. You can pick up these pieces at the con, including Venom, Swamp Thing, and Wolverine.

  • While we’re excited for Death of a Unicorn later this month, we’re equally excited for the birth of this beautiful unicorn piece (as well as a Pegasus piece) from artist Neala Appaloosa.

Today’s progress! 7 pieces down, 5 more to go before WonderCon!

  • Everyone loves a good badge ribbon. You can pick up some from Golden State Gaming Network at the con, who have several fun designs for you to choose from.

  • Are you a cosplayer still in need of a photographer to capture all of the hard work you’ve put in? FirstGlance photos is booking photoshoots — DM them on Twitter for more information.

  • Jeff Pina is boldly going where no artist has gone before with his latest print headed to WonderCon. Set phasers to Booth #C-59 in Artist Alley to find limited-edition prints and more before they vanish into the final frontier.

“Mr. Worf… Fire.”

NEW PRINT ALERT!!! Will have these in time for #Wondercon !!!

STILL the best cliffhanger EVER.

  • Smut lovers, unite! Stop by Drunk Flamingo #SP-35 in Small Press to grab their newest poster, the perfect pin-up (literally) featuring Rosie the Riveter, ready to Save Our Smut. There are only 10 copies of the poster available, so don’t wait to join the resistance.

  • Speaking of Cats — while we’ve mentioned the Superhero Cats Stamp Rally at WonderCon previously, artist Here Comes the Nerd showed off the postcard you’ll get to begin collecting stamps, and it’s purr-fect. Just stop by one of the participating booths (including #C-62, #C-61, #C-41, and #DL-49) to begin playing.

I’ll be participating in my first ever stamp rally with some friends at WonderCon this year!

Stop by our booths for your opportunity to get this free exclusive sticker sheet 🥰

And yes, that’s Deadpool with a catnip banana 😂😂

  • Several artists have also banded together this year for a Rival Collab Cards offering. Stop by each artist to pick up a card, which is free with purchase, or $5 on its own, while supplies last. If you manage to collect all cards, you’ll also have a 50% chance of scoring a Venom Jeff! from Red Inked Panda. Find more information on the Instagram post.
  • ZRock Comics is ready to rock WonderCon. Writer Brock Smith has been busy signing copies of The Ferryman, which will be available at WonderCon.

  • This new piece by Magnus Arts artist Ace Continuado and inker Juan Castro is swinging into WonderCon, and will be available at #B-05 in Artist Alley.

  • Bob! Draws Stuff has been… well, drawing stuff! Artist Robert McKeone showed off a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles print work-in-progress, and cowabunga! You can shell out some cash for it at #B-29 in Artist Alley.

Time flies when you’re making art. Almost forgot to post that I’ll be at WonderCon 2025, in table B-29! Come on down and get my new Ninja Turtles print (work in progress shown here), or any of my other fine arts. Come out and see me at the Anaheim Convention Center, Mar 28-30.

  • Lady Scrib is bringing treasures worthy of Rivendell to WonderCon at #B-51, with a Shards of Narsil design that would make even the White Council take notice. Whether you’re a humble hobbit or a wandering ranger, you’ll be able to create your own precious piece with her embroidery kits, releasing at WonderCon.

  • Art by Jenisse’s pieces are full of whimsy and magic — and you can add a little magic to your WonderCon shopping by picking up bookmarks, charms, notepads, and art prints at #B-44 in Artist Alley. Check out her menu board below, as well as fun specials.

I’ll be at #WonderCon next week! Stop by and say hi! Or maybe pick up a little something? There’s a sample of what I’ll have.
