After a multi-year hiatus, Drawn & Quarterly is officially returning to San Diego Comic-Con as an exhibitor for the first time since 2019. The beloved independent publisher will be back on the show floor this July with a pair of acclaimed cartoonists and a special celebration at their booth in honor of one of their most iconic properties.
Drawn & Quarterly are bringing along Mimi Pond, author of Do Admit: The Mitford Sisters and Me, and Walter Scott, creator of The Wendy Award, to San Diego Comic-Con this year. There are no further details yet about their appearance, but Drawn & Quarterly mentions they’ll be updating on “programming and signing” details — so it sounds like both Pond and Scott will have busy schedules at the con.
In addition, the publisher will mark the 80th anniversary of Tove Jansson’s beloved Moomin characters with a whimsical, Moomin-themed booth on the show floor.

We have hit exactly one month until San Diego Comic-Con 2025 and Drawn & Quarterly have celebrated by releasing a few more details about their plans for the event.
According to a post on Threads, in addition to the previously revealed creators, they will also be welcoming Craig Thompson (Blankets), Nathan Gelgud (Reel Politik) and Mariko Tamaki (Roaming), to their booth during the event.
Fans will also be able to pick up several exclusives and debuts by those same creators and also from their Moomin 80th Anniversary collection. Seen in the photo below (from top to bottom):
