Hell is heating up — and not just because Hazbin Hotel fans are growing increasingly impatient for news about the second season of the hit animated series. Creator Vivienne Medrano (aka Vivziepop) recently fanned the flames of excitement in a social media post, where she teased a long-awaited update is coming very soon: “I obviously can’t say anything ever but I also am impatient like you guys and all I can say is there will absolutely be an update at SDCC so we are almost there.”
With San Diego Comic-Con 2025 set to deliver news from the underworld, with any luck, fans may finally get a trailer, release date, or perhaps even a sneak peek at what’s next for the Happy Hotel crew.
As for who will be on hand to deliver that news though, is a little more up in the air. The majority of the core cast — including Alex Brightman (Sir Pentious), Erika Henningsen (Charlie), Blake Roman (Angel Dust), Amir Talai (Alastor), Jessica Vosk (Lute), Brandon Rogers (Katie Killjoy), Christian Borle (Vox), Lilli Cooper (Velvette), Joel Perez (Valentino), Daphne Rubin-Vega (Carmilla), Krystina Alabado (Cherri Bomb) — as well as composer Sam Haft, are all currently slated to appear at GalaxyCon Raleigh that same weekend. Most are listed for Thursday through Sunday, making a full cast panel at SDCC less likely. Still, convention appearances are always subject to change, and interestingly, we heard Keith David, who voices Husk, was reportedly overheard at ATX Festival over the weekend saying he will be at SDCC — so some familiar voices may appear after all.
[UPDATE] Since the original publishing, Talai updated his Instagram that he will only be at GalaxyCon Saturday and Sunday — opening the door further for a San Diego Comic-Con appearance earlier that week.
