The Lawrence Brothers are on the case — and heading to San Diego Comic-Con 2025.
Joey, Matthew, and Andrew Lawrence are officially launching The Lawrence Brothers Detective Agency, a brand-new graphic novel project that turns the real-life trio into fictionalized private investigators solving surreal Hollywood mysteries. Fans attending San Diego Comic-Con will be the first to get an up-close look at the project, with exclusive reveals, signings, and more planned throughout the weekend.
Announced in partnership with Z2 Comics and created alongside Max and Ben Berkowitz and Brian Yuran, as well as artist Sean Von Gorman, the series is being funded via Kickstarter (officially launching July 24, during the con) — giving fans a chance to be part of the origin story.
“The idea started literally 15 years ago. We were kicking around an idea one time when we were on vacation together,” Matthew Lawrence told People Magazine. At the center of the story are fictional versions of the Lawrence Brothers, who put their “cop show experience” to work by tracking down everything from missing actors to luxury items lost in the surf.
The team behind the project calls it a love letter to the chaos and charm of Hollywood, blending real-life inspiration with absurd detective hijinks. Yuran confirmed via Instagram that they’re heading to Comic-Con.
