CGC & JSA Return to San Diego Comic-Con 2025 with Exclusive Pins, Comics, Signings and More [Update July 7]

Collectibles grading powerhouse CGC, along with JSA, are returning to San Diego Comic-Con this year with exclusive giveaways, signings, and of course — submissions at the booth. For those unfamiliar with CGC, attendees can bring in a broad array of items — from comic books and trading cards to video games, home video releases, and memorabilia — for grading or autograph authentication right at Booth #901.

In addition to their collectible pins, CGC will also offer their first ever exclusive variant comic at San Diego Comic-Con. With art by blockbuster talent Dan Mora (Absolute Power, Transformers) this variant for the 2008 Superman #80, featuring a very special story about the good-est boy, Krypto.

This San Diego Comic-Con exclusive variant is limited to just 3000 copies and comes ungraded, however those who purchase it can opt for CGC submission at the booth which will qualify the book for a custom Krypto label.

Visitors at the CGC booth can find exclusive pin giveaways and more throughout the con, including the Abominable Toys Chomp x Godzilla Gem Mint 10 Pin, the Submit & Snag Legacy Logo pins, and the official launch of the DSTLRY Gem Mint 10 Pin. The fun continues with the 25th Anniversary Mystery Box Egg Hunt and an opportunity to “Meet the Grader,” featuring CGC Comics President Matt Nelson and Vice President Shawn Caffrey set for Thursday-Saturday of the con from 1pm-2pm daily.

They’ll also be hosting an exclusive signing with Clayton Crain (Ghost Rider, X-Force, Carnage) at the booth, set for Thursday, July 24 – Saturday, July 26 from 11am-12:30pm daily, as well as Wednesday, July 23 from 7pm-8:30pm. Anyone who submits through CGC’s Signature Series during Crain’s signing will receive the exclusive Clayton Crain Gem Mint 10 Pin.

 

In addition, CGC will be hosting Chomp creators Benjamin Su and Conner McConnell on Friday, July 25 from 3pm – 4pm. Copies of Mothra: Queen of the Monsters will be available for purchase.

Rather than waiting in line, attendees can also take advantage of CGC’s express drop-off service to skip queues. By setting up an account and completing submission forms ahead of time, sending in graded items becomes streamlined — simply drop off your prepared collectible at the booth, and CGC takes care of the rest with secure transport to their Sarasota, FL headquarters.
