Could the Disney+ streaming series Percy Jackson and the Olympians be heading back to San Diego Comic-Con this July? Based on a recent interview with TVLine, it sure sounds like Mount Olympus may be sending a few emissaries to the Gaslamp Quarter.
[UPDATE July 3]
There are more signs that Percy Jackson and the Olympians will be diving into San Diego Comic-Con for the second season’s “Sea of Monsters” will be diving into San Diego Comic-Con for the second season’s “Sea of Monsters”. Mythomagic Inc., the production company for the series founded by the series’ author Rick Riordan and his wife Becky Riordan, teased that while they have to “be vague”, the upcoming promotional campaign looks “very exciting especially ahead of SDCC”, and that they’re jealous of fans heading to the convention.
Our guess is at minimum, a panel, with the possibility of sme sort of an offsite or something more not outside the realm of possibilities. For Olympians, anything is possible.
[PREVIOUS]
When asked when fans might get a glimpse at the upcoming second season ahead of its December release date, actress Leah Jeffries (Annabeth Chase) suggested that August would make sense for timing for a trailer. Then Walker Scobell (Percy Jackson) chimed in to add that fans should “look out for the Comic-Cons… like July”.
That’s not a guarantee, but it certainly sounds like it’s on the stars’ radar. With the second season set to cover The Sea of Monsters, the next chapter in Rick Riordan’s best-selling saga, fans are expecting big things — and San Diego Comic-Con might just be the best place to reveal more.
