Under The Tents: Geeky Hooker, Rhode Montijo, Out of Print, Masked Republic, Bling Squared Glass

It’s hard to believe there’s another week in the books, and the schedule drops next week! Before you know it, you’ll be packing your bags, driving, getting on a flight, or taking a train for the big show. How is it already almost time — I certainly don’t know?! Since today is America’s Birthday let’s start your July 4th off with a bang!

Here’s a look at what you might have missed:

  • Out of Print, the pioneering creator and retailer of licensed illustrated literary-themed products, will be stationed at Booth #1623 this year, where they’re celebrating Fourth Wing by Rebecca Yarros, the first book in the New York Times best-selling author’s Empyrean series. You can pick up a Comic-Con exclusive enamel pin for just $15, which is limited to 1,200 pieces — with half of the inventory available at SDCC and the remaining half available at New York Comic Con in the fall.

  • While we’ve already shown you Zen Monkey Studios’ two exclusive enamel pins this year, now we have more information. They’ll be available at Federation Comics Booth #1600, where you can pick up an officially licsned Dragon Ball pin (LE 300) for $15, or an exclusive Persona5 Royal officially licsned pin (LE 200) also for $15.

    • It appears Godzilla seems to be all the rage at the con this year. As he should. Official Prime Collectibles shared a first look at Jed Thomas’s first-ever comic-sized Godzilla artbook. This oversized premium format book will be extremely limited with 30 trade, 15 foil, 10 magma, and 5 metal. A limited presale will happen Friday at 1pm PST on Prime Collectibles website. Then whatever remains will be available at booth #4814.

    • Enesco Studios shared that they will be in attendance this year at Booth #4049. They’ll have daily giveaways, exclusive reveals, special discounts, and in-booth shopping. Be sure to stop by and check them out!

    • Design driven multi-media entertainment company Underverse announced that they will be at the convention at Booth #2742.

    • An announcement on Beyond Wednesdays with Bryan McClay revealed two GI Joe 318 Variants. Limited to 250 copies each, these full art foils will be available for $40 each at Booth #1101.

    • Have you ever wanted a duck dressed as a rooster? It’s probably not something you’ve ever really thought about … until now. Bling Squared Cute Glass shared a look at their absolutely adorable exclusive Duck in a Rooster Onesie, and I’m sold. Pick one up for yourself at #E-05 while they are available!

    • The Geeky Hooker is back with another awesome crochet drop of Derpy the Tiger from KPop Demon Hunters. Just look at him. Big, blue, adorable, and dumb. If you’re lucky he can come home with you, but only if you’re able to find him when the drop happens. Follow along with all her socials for all the details.

    • Infinite Statue and Kaustic Plastik revealed that they will once again be in attendance. You will be able to find them at Booth #321, where they will have world premiere products and a special guest. Follow along with them for all the details.

    • Rhode Montijo gave us a small sneak peek of one of the new fantasmical goodies that will be at his Booth #1329. The pin features a cute little mummy just out for a ride on his skateboard. Be sure to stop by his cool cardboard booth and pick one up.

    • Ever wonder who would win in a fight between Wolverine and Freddy Krueger? Well this might be your chance: by stopping by artist dafgram’s booth in Artist Alley #FF-21. They’ll have prints, sketchbooks, originals, and plenty of other Wolverine and Freddy things.

    • The convention center announced that they have added a new lactation pod in Lobby H which augments two existing Mother’s lounges, giving guests more access to clean and private spaces. To gain access to the pod you will have to download and use the Mamava app.

    • Original art and illustration seller Tamsin Isles shared that Adi Granov will be in attendance as well as special guest Esad Ribic. You can find them at Booth #5557. For commission info you can also contact Tamsin.

    • Comic book artist Chad Hardin will be attending and signing your favorite Marvel comics like Gwenpool at the Marvel Booth #4503.

    • We’re all collectors of something, so it’s always interesting to learn more about collecting in general and the future of the hobby. Video Shane of McFarlane Toys announced a panel that will be talking about exactly this. From Pudgy Penguins to Funko, and everything in between this is a can’t-miss panel.

    • Previously announced PSA Grading revealed the pricing scale for all the things that you can get graded at the convention.

    • In a blink and you may have missed it moment, in a YouTube video posted by DuckBricks, at about the 4:15 mark there is confirmation that the Lego Ninjago writers Chris Wyatt and Kevin Burke will be in attendance.

    • Masked Republic shared a tease of something we can expect during the con and it looks like a lot of fun.
