AMC Announces “The Vampire Lestat: After Dark” Companion Series Ahead of June 7 Premiere

As if fans of The Vampire Lestat needed another reason to count down the days until June 7, AMC has officially announced a new companion series, The Vampire Lestat: After Dark.

The half-hour aftershow will be hosted by writer, producer, and podcaster Lizzie Bassett (What Went Wrong), and will offer a weekly behind-the-scenes look at each episode of the new season.

The series will feature interviews with cast members including Sam Reid, Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, Eric Bogosian, and Delainey Hayles, as well as executive producers Mark Johnson and Rolin Jones, offering insights into what fans can expect this season, as well as behind-the-scenes stories from the set.

“We’re thrilled to introduce this must-watch companion show for The Vampire Lestat, a series that has truly captivated a loyal and passionate fan base,” said Ben Davis, EVP of scripted programming for AMC Global Media. “After Dark is designed to enrich the viewing experience, with a deep dive into the lore of the show and behind-the-scenes insights from the cast and producers that pull back the curtain on the stories, characters and moments that define this upcoming season.”

After Dark debuts with a special preview episode on May 24 on AMC+, ahead of the full launch on June 7, the same day The Vampire Lestat premieres on AMC and AMC+. New episodes will stream weekly on AMC+ every Sunday and will also be available the following day as video podcasts on platforms including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, YouTube, and Amazon Music.

Select episodes, including the preview (May 31), season premiere (June 7), and finale (July 19), will also air on AMC.

For fans eager to dissect every song, betrayal, and blood-soaked revelation, this will be the perfect nightcap after each episode.
