Under the Tents 2026: Jim Lee, The Legend of Zelda, Warbird, Panel Swag, Rhode Montijo

I’m short on time. You’re short on time. We’re all short on time before San Diego Comic-Con 2026. Plus, I’m battling some pre-con crud which, while not ideal, certainly beats con crud. My immune system is going to be STRONG next week.

If you want to take a break from mapping out the optimal route from an offsite to a panel room to a booth — or is that just me? — here’s the latest roundup of the rest of the news that’s fit to print post on social media. As always, if you knew about everything below already, please consider joining our team:

  • Torpedo Comics (Booth #1000) has announced the pricing and signing schedule for DC President Jim Lee, and it’s a doozy. Lee will have five signing sessions spread across Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, with pricing ranging from $100 to $150 for variants of Absolute Batman #22, Absolute Wonder Woman #22, and Absolute Superman #21. Each purchase includes one Jim Lee signature, with additional signatures available for $80.

  • Earlier today, Hasbro and Nintendo announced a new multi-year licensing partnership for the former to start creating a line of The Legend of Zelda products. The first release won’t hit until next year, but the first set of 6″ figures can be seen at Hasbro’s SDCC booth #3213 next week!

  • Kodama Tales showed off an exclusive Sun-Ken Rock tapestry and acrylic stand that will be available at their Booth #3735. Additionally, attendees can meet cosplayer Logan Chitwood during a signing session at the booth at a to-be-announced time.

  • Meanwhile, about 30-something aisles away from Kodama, Frankie’s Comics 737 will be hosting UDON and Street Fighter artist Alvin Lee on Saturday, July 25 for some S&S (that’s signing and sketching).

  • Get lost in this 11″x17″ metal Cyclops print from Scott Lost. Be found at #K-07 picking up one of the three metal prints that will be available next week.

  • From Paola Bascon in Artist Alley #HH-17 comes a new series of mystery acrylic keychains with six possible designs: Pinoy Sun (w/ winking version on the opposite side), Skyflakes, Boy Bawang, Tabo, Poco, and Mang Jollibee. Unfortunately, we can’t embed the Instagram reel, so you’ll have to click here to see them all!)

  • Voice actor Frank Todaro shared a mashup print by Nikki Lafreeda that he’ll be bringing to his various signing sessions at SDCC 2026 next week; head to our autographs page and do the ol’ Ctrl-F for Todaro to see when and where.

  • Trinity Comics (#5553) will have an exclusive edition with a Vincent Van Gogh cover (yep) of Bad Idea’s WARBIRD #1 a month ahead of its August 26 retail release. Meanwhile, at Bad Idea’s Tiki Party on Saturday (July 25), they’ll have two additional WARBIRD #1‘s for sale: one with an Esad Ribić cover limited to 100 and a blank sketch edition also limited to 100. There’ll be a signing event at the party at 9pm featuring WARBIRD writers Derek Kolstad and Robert Venditti.
  • A blurb as brief as the captions on this trio of nooligan limited edition prints – “g.o.a.t.” and “snikt” and “cheese stix” – to grab at Booth #5567. Again, time is short!!!
  • If Pawmicon earlier in the week wasn’t enough to satiate your convention-adjacent pet needs, have we got the follow-up for you. Since last year’s SDCC, the pet store Kahoots opened up a new Gaslamp location (470 5th Avenue) and is marking its first SDCC by hosting Kahoots-con at the location on Saturday-Sunday (July 25-26). They’ll have goodie bags with purchase, photo ops, and more. I’m sure there’s a pet pun to be made somewhere.

  • We love our panel giveaways so much, we make a whole annual post about it! We also update the schedule as new ones roll in, like this pin badge that attendees of the “Blade Runner Comics: The Tokyo Nexus Saga” panel (Saturday, July 25, 1pm-2pm, Room 4) are getting.

  • In another “panel giveaway that isn’t mentioned in the official description,” attendees at Thursday’s “Black Hammer: 10th Anniversary Celebration” from 2pm-3pm in Room 6DE will receive this Mark Buckingham-illustrated print.

  • Another updated panel giveaway is happening at “Devils and Dreamscapes: How Horror Comics Changed the Way We See the World,” on Friday 7/24 from 5pm-6pm in Room 9, where the first 100 attendees will receive a poster of The Agony of Stars, the recently-funded Kickstarter comic from Jim Ousley, Etienne Derepentigny, and Paul Little.

  • As seemingly required in the “Under the Tents” bylaws, here is a crochet/critter-drop related post. This Colin the Carrot from Francescup Creations can be yours at SDCC 2026 if you’re in the right place at the right time.

  • Sherry Lou Studio has original arted so hard that she doesn’t have enough room to show them all off at once at Small Press #N-03. Pop by and peruse, why don’t cha?
