WonderCon Anaheim 2024 will be here before you know it, and while we got news that Funko and its various brands won’t be at the convention this year, there’s still plenty to do, see, and buy. We’ve rounded up everything for you from panel announcements to artwork and cosplay meet-ups.
Here’s a look at what you might have missed:
- Writer and illustrator William O’Neill, otherwise known as “That Gentleman Nerd”, will be heading to WonderCon this month for his first convention of the year.
- Give us all the art! Sean Forney has been busy creating new sketch covers, which you’ll find at his WonderCon Booth #D-05 in Artists Alley.

- Speaking of convention sketches, artist WAY$HAK also showed off a new Joker sketch, which will be get some color prior to WonderCon. Stop by #B-35 in Artists Alley to get a look at the final piece.

- Who ya gonna call? Artist Nick Kremenek, otherwise known as Dreamforger Studios, was accepted into WonderCon and is trying to make his way there. If he succeeds, you’ll be able to pick up this Egon Spengler print (which will be getting colored and finalized) at his booth.

- Learn more about key art in Hollywood at a panel on Friday, March 29 at 8:30pm in Room 210, as Ralphious, Chris Kawagiwa, Kelly Singpo, Vicki Tunkel, and more discuss the creation of posters, billboards, and more for Hollywood.
- In space, no one can hear you say “Oh, boy!”. Artist Robert Griggs showed off a mash-up of Alien and Mickey Mouse, which will potentially be turned into a giclee print on watercolor paper for WonderCon. If you’re interested, be sure to let him know on social.

- As we wait for the official exhibitor list, we’re always thankful to Don Nguyen for providing his “Friends List” of booth numbers for artists, exhibitors, writers, and more you’ll want to check out on the show floor. He recently shared an update, and mentioned a “rumor” that he’ll be hosting a panel with Chubby Bunny Art.

- Artist Collaboration Experience showed off more of the merch they’ll have at Booth #2266 at WonderCon, this time for Danglerlemonz, which includes charms, stickers, and more.

- Actress Lenore Zann, best known as the voice of Rogue in X-Men: The Animated Series, will be appearing at the convention all three days at Giant-Size Productinos’ Booth #DL-21. You’ll also find her on the annual X-Men Fandom Panel on Saturday, March 30 at 7pm PT, as hosted by X-Reads Podcast and The Uncanny Experience.
- Is it even a WonderCon without a WonderCon Meat-Up? Join your fellow Bob’s Burgers fans on Saturday, March 30 at 3pm PT at the small fountain outside. Cosplay is encouraged but not required, and they’ll have new badge ribbons and friendship bracelets to give out. Join the Facebook event group to learn more.
- Earlier that day, you can also swing by the big fountain for the Monkie Kid Meetup, where fans of the LEGO series Monkie Kid can meet-up for trivia and small prizes.
- You’re going to need a bigger (life)boat for all the merch and exclusives you’ll be buying at WonderCon. Luckily, Critical Entertainment’s Lifeboat one-shot won’t take up much room, as it’s only 12 pages, and available for $2.99 at Booth #1309.
- Bob! Draws Stuff unveiled his preliminary 2024 convention schedule, which includes a stop at #B-29 in WonderCon’s Artists Alley, as well as a stop at another little convention in July.
- Life comes at you pretty fast. And WonderCon comes at you pretty fast too. Just ask Don Ho, who will be exhibiting at Artists Alley #A-34.
- Go on a deep dive at WonderCon to uncover a whole new world at Dylan Bonner’s booth, where he’ll have a new WonderCon exclusive mermaid print.
- Head to Booth #1083 for Mr. Ed’s Pop-Up, where JLO Collectibles will be joining Ed Peji and Lilian Vu for Funko Pop!s and more.
- Indie comic artist Jevin Loop will be sharing Small Press #SP-09 with Phillip Quack Art and Kevin Tran, and between the three of them, you’re sure to find something you love.
- While the real mafia may not be someone you want to meet, the Nerd Mafia is another matter. Catch the nonprofit organization (and hosts for the official Power Morphicon) at #FC-17.
