Volume Global and Navajo Entertainment, in association with Claxson Media, are gearing up to present their TV adaptation of Arthur C. Clarke’s Venus Prime at this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.
The panel will take place on Thursday, July 25 from 4:45pm-5:45pm in Room 6BCF, and will feature a panel led by director and Executive Producer Jonathan Frakes (Star Trek: First Contact, Star Trek: Strange New World, The Librarians), along with co-showrunners David Cormican and Dwayne Hill, and executive producers Lucas Vivo Garcia Lagos and Christopher Rush-Harrington.
The panel promises to offer fans a deep dive into the making of the series, based on the bestselling book series. Attendees will learn how they adapted the material from Sir Arthur C. Clarke (2001: A Space Odyssey) and author Paul Preuss (also rumored to be in attendance), as well as learn why the filmmakers have chosen to work in virtual production to make this ambitious scripted series a reality. Attendees will also get an exclusive sneak-peek of the TV series logo.
Fans who attend will also receive a Comic-Con exclusive poster (numbered), featuring artwork by comic book artist Raúl Allén. Post-panel, there will also be an autograph signing with the panelists in attendance (make sure you enter through the Online Exclusives Portal for your chance to attend), along with Preuss.
