Indican Pictures, a longtime champion of bold, independent filmmaking, is heading back to San Diego Comic-Con, where they will be highlighting four of their newest releases. They haveĀ been a consistent presence at San Diego Comic-Con in recent year, known for showcasing their diverse, genre-bending films.
This year, Indican will host a dedicated panel at the con for Tapawingo, a quirky buddy comedy led by Jon Heder (Napoleon Dynamite), about two “cool dudes” killing time hanging out at the local rec center and Elk’s Lodge. Together, they fantasize about becoming unlikely heroes ā ready to leap into action should orphans or nuns ever need saving from vague “rogue actors.” But when real trouble lands in their quiet town, the duo is unexpectedly called to step up.
Joining Heder on stage at the convention will be cast members Jay Pichardo (American Vandal), Kim Matula (The Bold and the Beautiful, UnREAL), Sawyer Williams (The Middle), George and Paul Psarras (Broad City), Amanda Bearse (Married⦠with Children), John Ratzenberger (Cheers, Toy Story), Gina Gershon (Bound, Showgirls), and Billy Zane (Titanic). Theyāll also be joined by director/writer/producer Dylan Narang, writer Brad DeMarea, casting director Allen Hooper, and composer and Jacob Yoffee.
Attendees can expect exclusive footage, cast Q&A, a free temporary tattoo to take home with them, and more. Stay tuned for more details about the exact day, time, and location of the panel.
