It’s two weeks away from Comic-Con, and CCI is releasing the programming schedule for San Diego Comic-Con 2025 in its annual fashion. We’ll be bringing you the highlights of each day as they’re announced.
We’ll also be discussing our thoughts on this year’s lineup, including our top picks, what time we think you need to line up, room flow, and more — in a special series of live podcasts this weekend. The first of which will cover Preview Night, Thursday’s and Friday’s lineup, and will be on Friday July 11 at 9:30pm ET / 6:30pm PT.
Once more, there are no Preview Night screenings this year, as those appear to be a thing of the past.
Let’s start our Thursday recap off with Hall H, where things kick off at 11am with Percy Jackson and the Olympians. Then comedians Gabriel “Fluffy” Iglesias and Jo Koy take to the stage, followed by a look at Mechanical Cake for a dive inside their Ridley Scott Hyde graphic novel and movie. That’s followed by Collider’s annual “Directors on Directing” panel with the legendary Rob Reiner and Paul Feig on hand to discuss their careers and give an upcoming look at This is Spinal Tap II and The Housemaid at 2:45pm. Then at 4:15pm, things get creepy, with Blumhouse’s Five Nights at Freddy’s 2 (with “stars”), and what we’re pretty sure is the first unrated film in Hall H with The Toxic Avenger at 5:30pm. Finally, Hall H closes out the day with Comedy Central bringing the creators for South Park, Beavis a Butt-Head, and Digman!
Film and comics collide at the Z2Â The Blues Brothers panel, as they dive into the graphic novel. And yes, Dan Aykroyd will even be in attendance.
