“Aliens” 40th Anniversary Panel Teased for San Diego Comic-Con 2026

Game over, man? Not quite.

At today’s Aliens 40th anniversary panel at WonderCon, fans were treated to a celebration of James Cameron’s 1986 sci-fi action classic, with cast members Jennette Goldstein and Mark Rolston joining moderator Mark Atkinson to reflect on the film’s legacy, groundbreaking effects, and the lasting power of Ripley as one of genre cinema’s all-time great heroines. The panel dug into behind-the-scenes stories and fan-favorite memories from the film that taught an entire generation that when in doubt, you nuke it from orbit.

While Michael Biehn was unfortunately unable to make it to the panel, his absence may have come with a silver lining. During the discussion, Atkinson teased the crowd with something very interesting: That perhaps Biehn would be at San Diego instead, “hint hint”.

That certainly sounded like more than just wishful thinking, and a similar celebration of the film at this year’s convention feels in the cards. And at a bigger convention, could we see some additional cast members? We’d also love the inclusion of Sigourney Weaver, Carrie Henn, Lance Henriksen, Paul Reiser, and others.

Nothing is confirmed just yet, but if that tease pans out, San Diego Comic-Con 2026 could be the next stop for this xenomorph-sized anniversary celebration.
