“The Librarians: The Next Chapter” Is Checking Into San Diego Comic-Con 2026

The Librarians are checking back into San Diego Comic-Con.

Executive producer (and Electric Entertainment founder) Dean Devlin took to social media to confirm that The Librarians: The Next Chapter will be headed to San Diego Comic-Con this summer for their second season, teasing that additional details are still to come. While not explicitly stated, that surely means a panel.

While we’ll have to wait to hear which of the cast will be in attendance, the series stars Callum McGowan, Olivia Morris, Bluey Robinson, and Jessica Green — and this season also sees the addition of Dominic Monaghan (The Lord of the Rings, LOST), and I think all of those folks are very likely to be in attendance so long as scheduling permits.

The Librarians: The Next Chapter serves as a continuation of the beloved Librarians universe, which began with a series of television movies before expanding into a television series that ran for four seasons on TNT. Rather than simply rebooting the concept, Next Chapter introduced a fresh cast of characters while remaining connected to the world fans already knew.  The series follows a Librarian from the past who finds himself trapped in the present day, forcing him to adapt to a modern world while dealing with magical threats that continue to emerge.

The new season is set to release on TNT on August 2, so there should be plenty to tease at the con.
