AMC Networks is once again bringing a healthy dose of horror, walkers, and vampires to San Diego Comic-Con.
This year’s lineup features the Hall H debut of The Vampire Lestat, the return of The Walking Dead: Dead City ahead of its third season premiere, a first look at AMC+’s new mystery thriller YAGA, and several additional appearances spotlighting the network’s upcoming horror slate.
The Walking Dead: Dead City returns to Hall H on Friday with stars and executive producers Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Lauren Cohan joined by Aimee Garcia, Raúl Castillo, showrunner Seth Hoffman, and executive producer Scott Gimple for a look ahead at the upcoming third season.
Fans will also get an exclusive sneak peek at the season premiere before it debuts on AMC and AMC+ on Sunday, July 26.
Later that evening, attendees can head to The Loft at Petco Park for a special advance screening of the season premiere introduced by the cast and producers. Tickets can be requested through 1iota now, which works essentially as a lottery.
Fresh off its third season finale, The Vampire Lestat makes its Hall H debut on Friday. Cast members Jacob Anderson, Assad Zaman, and Eric Bogosian will join creator and showrunner Rolin Jones and executive producers Mark Johnson and Hannah Moscovitch to discuss the season, with attendees also getting a look back at The Vampire Lestat: One Night Only Live, featuring Sam Reid’s performance as Lestat alongside original music by Daniel Hart.
Series star Reid will not be in attendance, as he is performing Doubt in Australia. Will fans get news of a season four? (To paraphrase Rolin Jones, he told me if they showed up at San Diego Comic-Con, odds were very good, so… seems like a great time to announce that, as well as possibly a Night Island spinoff).
Then, Saturday brings the debut of YAGA, AMC+’s upcoming mystery thriller inspired by the Slavic legend of Baba Yaga. Stars Noah Reid, Clark Backo, and Carrie-Anne Moss will join showrunner Kat Sandler to discuss the new series and offer attendees an exclusive sneak peek.
AMC and Shudder are also joining the “10th Anniversary Bold Voice of Contemporary Horror” panel on Friday, with Deborah Ann Woll discussing Shudder’s The Cycle and Dan Stevens previewing AMC’s The Terror: Devil in Silver alongside filmmakers and horror creators celebrating the genre.
