Now that we’re starting to get some big-time panel confirmations, it’s easy to miss the smaller bits of news that might otherwise fall through the cracks. No worries, because our team is catching them all so you don’t miss a thing. Today’s “Under The Tents” has this year’s Squid Kids video game cart vinyl, a Power Ranger appearance, another Alex Ross print, a Marvel tease, Nickelodeon’s Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Nerd HQ and more.

  • The Photoshop booth will be giving away 50 shirts at this year’s convention. Daniel Presedo revealed the design for this year’s shirt on Twitter.

  • Squid Kids Ink, a geek-themed retailer, announced on Instagram that it will have a customized version of Smash the State 10-Doh! designer toy available first at Comic-Con. Fans can pick up the vinyl toy at booth #5150 on the exhibit floor.

  • Can’t get enough of the art of Alex Ross? Well, that’s good, because he has another piece of original artwork that he will be offering at Comic-Con. Sal Abbinanti revealed the latest piece on Twitter, featuring The Spirit.

  • Ryan Penagos, Executive Editorial Director of Marvel’s Digital Media, revealed on Twitter that Marvel will be giving away “art for something live-action-related” at SDCC. There’s no further details on what that might be, but we’re excited at the possibilities.

  • Actor Jason Faunt, who played the Red Time Force Ranger in Power Rangers Super Megaforce, will be appearing during Comic-Con in Autograph Alley. The information was released via Instagram, and will be signing 2:30 – 7pm, Thursday through Saturday, at autograph table AA27.

  •  Remember last year’s awesome Casey Jones Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle poster from Nickelodeon? Well, it looks like there will be another poster for this year, per this tweet from Nickelodeon concept painter Jeffry Mazon.

  • Special effects legend Phil Tippett teased via Twitter that he was taking something “big” to Comic-Con. Tippett has worked on such classics as Star Wars and…Jurassic Park. Could this be in relation to some Jurassic World appearance at SDCC?

  • Geeky Hooker has announced additional “crocheted critters” to find during Comic-Con. This batch came “out of a big blue box” – can you guess who? To join the hunt, follow her on either twitter or facebook to track the drops during the convention.

  • New York Times best selling sci-fi author Tobias Buckell announced he will be appearing at Comic-Con for the “Vengeance and Villains” panel on Friday July 25 and signing copies of his latest book, Hurricane Fever, at the Tor booth on Saturday July 26.
  • The Nerd Machine, the lifestyle website and product company founded by Zachary Levi, announced via Twitter that it will be selling its newly-released merchandise at Nerd HQ, along with “some other new gear for those attending the event”.

  • The Buffy Sing-A-Long panel, which traditionally closes Comic-Con on Sunday, will be back in 2014. The long-running panel announced via Twitter it will again be on Sunday, July 27, from 3:30pm-5pm. Sounds like there will be some special guests too.
