Dark Horse Announces San Diego Comic-Con 2018 Signing Schedule

Popular publishing house Dark Horse has announced its complete signing schedule for this year’s San Diego Comic-Con.

Talent from Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along-Blong ReunionMystery Science Theatre 3000ElfquestHellboyGod of War, Bioware, and more will be on hand at its booth, #2615 — along with Joëlle Jones, Stan Sakai, Jody Houser, and more.

Some events, including the signing with Mystery Science Theater 3000‘s Todd Nauck, Felicia Day and Michael Heisler on Thursday; Dr. Horrible’s Sing-Along Blog Reunion with Joss Whedon, Jed Whedon, Maurissa Tancharoen, Nathan Fillion, and Felicia Day on Friday; The Venture Bros.‘ Doc Hammer, Jackson Publick, and Ken Plume on Saturday; Xerxes‘ Frank Miller and Alex Sinclair on Saturday; and Final Fantasy‘s Yoshitaka Amano on both Thursday and Sunday will be ticketed and require a wristband.

All signings are free! There will also be free prints, comics, or posters provided for most signings. You may purchase or bring items to be signed, but Dark Horse may restrict the type or number of items to be signed as necessary.

Just like usual, there will be two signing stages – one featuring the artwork of Mike Mignola for Hellboy (abbreviated HB in the schedule below), and the other featuring a showcase of art from Stranger Things by Aleksi Bricolt, Kyle Lambert, and Rafael Albuquerque (abbreviated as ST below).

Drawings for wristband-required signings will begin at show opening the day before and day of each signing, and it is recommended you get your ticket early from the Dark Horse booth.

Join Comic-Con International in honoring one of the most recognized Japanese artists of the last half-century, Yoshitaka Amano. Amano’s storied career spans decades with thousands of works including Final Fantasy, Vampire Hunter D, and Neil Gaiman’s Sandman: The Dream Hunters. Amano will delight fans by live drawing some of his original characters and will participate in a brief Q&A.

3:00-4:00 PM:  Artists Who Write: The Craft and Creation of Comics (Room: 7AB)

Whether it’s a superhero adventure, a colorful fantasy world, an ultra-violent crime noir, or a new take on an old classic, creators put a lot of thought into the sequential art that drives stories told in comics.
