It’s been another busy San Diego Comic-Con news day, dominated by Funko and their continuing announcement of exclusives. But that’s not all the news, and we’ve got more for you in today’s Under the Tents, featuring updates from some of our favorite artists like Dave Kellett, James Silvani, and Val Hochberg, as well as news on panels, possible offsites, and more.

  • He is the terror that flaps in the night! You can pick up new original art from artist James Silvani, including this Darkwing Duck piece, at Booth #5555, starting at $120.

  • Creative Beasts Studio, which makes action figures and nestling models for all things dinosaur, will be exhibiting this year in Small Press #B-03 where they’ll have products, prototypes, and more.

  • Get your Snoopy dance ready. Nat Gertler, a professional Peanuts nerd and author, revealed on his website that he’ll be hosting a panel on Saturday, July 23 at 4:30pm in Room 26AB with Shulz Museum curator Benjamin L. Clark, to discuss Charlie Brown’s Career Education Program filmstrips. They’ll also be showing a few, and having a live cast reading of one strip.

  • We’re all about that pug life — and we’re all about artist Dave Kellett’s San Diego Comic-Con exclusive pug pin. Stop by Booth #1228 to pick it up, if we don’t beat you to it.

  • Voice actor Adam McArthur, best known for his roles on Star vs. the Forces of Evil and Jujutsu Kaisen, may be bringing back his popular boba fan meet-up at San Diego Comic-Con. Would you like to say hi and get some boba? Make sure to let him know.

  • Underverse, a collectibles company under the direction of Ashley Wood, will be making their first US convention appearance at San Diego Comic-Con at Booth #2742.

  • While showing off some new screen prints, artist Brian Ewing let slip that he will be exhibiting at San Diego Comic-Con this year at Booth #4820.

  • Joe Benitez, a comic book artist who has worked on titles such as Titans and Superman / Batman, will be signing at the convention with M M Chen and Beth Sotelo — though we’ll have to stay tuned on details for where.
  • Artist Val Hochberg’s commissions may be sold out — but she’s busy working on new original art she’ll have for sale at her booth, Small Press #N-12.

  • Writer Viktor T. Kerney confirmed a “Black and Queer” panel will be taking place at the convention next month.

  • Webtoon company Rocketship Entertainment confirmed to ICv2 they’ll be at San Diego Comic-Con this year with panels, signings, and “special events”.
  • There are more sexy monster stickers from Frankenhorrors, the illustration brand by Frank Forte, which will be available at the show.
