There and back again. The upcoming Prime Video series The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will be journeying to San Diego Comic-Con next month.
The series will be getting a Hall H panel, featuring showrunners J.D. Payne & Patrick McKay and “stars”, and fans will be treated to an exclusive early look at the series during the panel.
No word yet on which celebrities will be in attendance, but the series has a very large cast, including Cynthia Addai-Robinson, Robert Aramayo, Owain Arthur, Maxim Baldry, Nazanin Boniadi, Morfydd Clark, Ismael Cruz Córdova, Charles Edwards, Trystan Gravelle, Sir Lenny Henry, Ema Horvath, Markella Kavenagh, Joseph Mawle, Tyroe Muhafidin, Sophia Nomvete, Lloyd Owen, Megan Richards, Dylan Smith, Charlie Vickers, Leon Wadham, Benjamin Walker, Daniel Weyman, and Sara Zwangobani.
The series is set before the events of The Hobbit, though we will see some familar faces, such as Galadriel, as they confront the long-feared re-emergence of evil to Middle-earth.
There’s also no official word yet on if Amazon will be bringing a Lord of the Rings offsite, but we’ll be shocked if they don’t take us more fully into the world of the series.
