WonderPost 2023: Tony Moy, Toddland, Patrick Ballesteros

In just a few days, February will be in our rear view mirror and then it’s full speed ahead towards WonderCon. We have the official exhibitor last and map to look forward to, plus the panel schedule, food trucks (we hope!), and so much more coming up before the show.

I can hear you asking already, “But UBlog, what about NOW? We want news noooowww!” OK, all you Veruca Salts, here’s some news for you, including some from Toddland, Patrick Ballesteros, Maxi Rodriguez, and more.

Let’s take a look at the news you might have missed:

  • And if you were hoping to participate in a brisk round of speed walking to secure a Ballesteros mini-original at WonderCon, you’re in luck. Here’s the first of what he hopes will be 15 – 20 of them.

  • Artist and writer Ken Penders has been hard at work on this recolored Archie print with dozens of characters. He hopes to have it done in time for WonderCon.

  • Looks like Lupin Zero fans will want to gas up and make way for Artist Alley #D14 as artist Kris will have a delightful print available.

  • Another creator who is hitting the road is watercolorist Tony Moy, creator of the webcomic The 4Forty2nd, a historical comic about the Japanese American soldiers who fought in World War II and became the most decorated regiment in the United States.

  • If you have a great idea for a Bob’s Burgers Linda pin, the fine folks at Toddland want to hear it! If all goes well, you’ll be able to purchase a brand new Linda pin at WonderCon.

  • And where will you be able to buy this likely awesome and potentially priceless Bob’s Burgers Linda pin? Why at the Toddland booth, of course, which in Anaheim will be #2052. Friends and fans at home will be able to order online. We will keep you apprised of all updates regarding this pin and everything else Todd has up his sleeve.

  • And finally today, we have a few weeks until the official panel schedule is out but Julian Jetson spilled the beans that his Gay Geeks and Where To Find Them panel be there. Details coming on or around March 10.

If you have yet to get tickets to WonderCon 2023, there is still time
