Comic-Con International announced today that badges for APE, The Alternative Press Expo and the sister show of San Diego Comic-Con that focuses on independent and small press comics in the San Francisco Bay Area, are now on sale.
The convention will be held in San Francisco at the Fort Mason Center (2 Marina Blvd, San Francisco, CA) on October 4-5, and offers “two big days of comics fun” including special guests, panels, an exhibit hall (which offers a special Stock Up Sunday promotion, “where select exhibitors offer their products at a reduced rate”), workshops, and more.
So far, the guest roster for this year’s event includes cartoonists Bob Fingerman, Ed Piskor, Jason Shiga, and Robert Williams, as well aswriters Faith Erin Hicks, Paul Pope, and C. Spike Trotman.
Advanced badges for the event purchased online are only $15 for both days, or $10 for either a Saturday or Sunday single day badge. Those prices will increase slightly at the door, raising to $15 for a single day or $20 for both days.
There’s even better news for those who attended San Diego Comic-Con as a general attendee, however. If you attended SDCC 2014 with a regular badge (professionals, exhibitors, and volunteers are not eligible), you’ll gain free admission into APE. Retailers who bring a current business card can also get into APE free.
You can order your badges online now, and find out more information about the event, on CCI’s website.
