Marvel Comics Panels for WonderCon 2015 Announced

411px-MarvelLogo.svgAlthough last month, Ryan Penagos, Executive Editorial Director of Marvel Digital Media, told a fan on Twitter that assuming Marvel Studios had even a “12%” chance of attending WonderCon Anaheim 2015 was a “generous number” – that certainly didn’t mean that the comics powerhouse would have no presence at this year’s convention.

And now, thanks to an announcement by Comic-Con International, we have a good idea of what that presence will look like.

Marvel Comics will be hosting two panels throughout the WonderCon weekend, including “Marvel: Next Big Thing” on Saturday, April 4, from 4PM-5PM. Here’s the official description, from the Toucan Blog:

From Star Wars to the Avengers, this panel has you covered! Join Editor Wil Moss, Sam Humphries (Guardians of the Galaxy & X-Men: The Black Vortex), Greg Weisman (Star Wars: Kanan—The Last Padawan), Rick Remender (Avengers: Rage of Ultron), and other Mighty Marvel guests, as they take on questions about Marvel’s biggest series and events!

The second Marvel Comics panel will be on Sunday, April 5, from 11AM-12PM. Here’s the official description from the Toucan Blog:

Are you a writer or artist? Ever dream of working for Marvel? Do you find yourself thinking, “I could do that, if I knew how!” Well, here’s your chance! Join Editor Wil Moss, Sam Humphries (Black Vortex), Cullen Bunn (Magneto), and other Marvel writers and artists to find out how to get your foot in the door at MARVEL!

In addition, all of the Marvel writers and artists that Comic-Con International had previously announced will have a Spotlight panel. Here’s that schedule:

  • Kris Anka (artist, Uncanny X-Men, Ms. Marvel, All-New X-Factor, Wolverines): Friday, 6:00 PM, Room 211
  • Cullen Bunn (writer, Magneto): Friday, 1:30 PM, Room 208
  • Sam Humphries (writer, Guardians of the Galaxy & X-Men: The Black Vortex, The Legendary Star-Lord): Saturday, 12:30 PM, Room 213
  • Phil Noto (artist, Black Widow): Saturday, 2:30 PM, Room 208
  • Rick Remender (writer, Avengers: Rage of Ultron, All-New Captain America, Uncanny Avengers): Friday, 4:00 PM, Room 209
  • James Robinson (writer, Fantastic Four, Invaders): Friday, 3:00 PM, Room 211
