LEGO San Diego Comic-Con 2019 Exclusives [UPDATE July 11]

When it comes to San Diego Comic-Con exclusives, everything is awesome when it comes to LEGO’s choices the last several years. The few fortunate souls that get their hands on Lego SDCC exclusives become owners of some of the priciest prizes of all.

Just like last year, LEGO will be utilizing the San Diego Comic-Con Online Exclusives Portal System for their sets, which was first used in 2018. The minifigures, however, will not be a part of the portal, and instead be given away through a randomized instant-win drawing on site, with a new one available Thursday-Saturday of the con. This will likely just be the same system they had in place prior to 2018, but we’ll update when we know more.

Here’s what’s awesome this year from LEGO:

[UPDATE July 11]

Mashable has the details on LEGO’s next San Diego Comic-Con minifigure: and it’s fan favorite Barb from Stranger Things. She’ll be given away in a randomized instant-win drawing on Friday, July 19.

[UPDATE July 10]

Today is all about Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, and LEGO is getting in on the action too with a Sith Trooper Bust. This 484-piece set will retail for $45 — and is part of the Online Exclusives Portal.

[UPDATE July 8]

LEGO’s next San Diego Comic-Con exclusive minifigure is… Zebra Batman! This deep-cut minifig features Batman in a rare costume, from Detective Comics #275. You can score him on Saturday, July 20 in a randomized instant-win drawing. SYFY Wire, who announced the minifig, says it will be at the LEGO booth… but it may be outside the Sails Pavilion like in pre-2018 instead, stay tuned for updates.

[UPDATE June 28]

If you were worried that yesterday’s Online Exclusives Portal launch not including any LEGO minifigures meant that LEGO was discontinuing the tradition — fear not. GameSpot revealed the first exclusive today, in the form of a PS4 Marvel’s Spider-Man Minifig, set for Thursday, July 18. We’ve confirmed now that the minifigures will not be part of the Online Exclusives portal, and will instead be given away through a randomized instant-win drawing on-site. This will likely just be the same system they had in place prior to 2018, but we’ll update when we know more.

[UPDATE June 19]

LEGO is back this morning with another SDCC exclusive set (two of THREE!), courtesy of The Hollywood Reporter. The new The Dark Knight of Gotham City set is a part of LEGO’s DC Comics Super Heroes line, and features a diorama of Gotham, with a water tower, gargoyle buildings, and the Bat-signal. There’s also a Batman mini-fig included. The 427-piece set will retail for $45, and just like all of LEGO’s offerings, be a part of CCI’s Online Exclusives Portal launching next week.

[UPDATE June 17]

LEGO’s first San Diego Comic-Con exclusive is a Captain Marvel ASIS. The 271-piece LEGO set features minifig versions of Captain Marvel, her Flerken Goose, and Monica Rambeau. It will retail for $45 — and only be available to those who win in the Exclusives Portal Lottery, set to open the last week of June.
