Valor & Vellum WonderCon Anaheim 2022 Exclusives [UPDATE March 27]

Artist Priscilla Wilson — also known as Valor & Vellum, and the creator of the adorable Soonay character that has increasingly been one of the hottest items on the show floor — is headed to WonderCon Anaheim this April to Small Press booth #SP-45.

Wilson has one last treat for WonderCon attendees, in the form of these experimental have these experimental casts of her characters Soonay and Toratai. They will be available for $50 each with a limit of one each per person on Friday, and no limits on Saturday and Sunday. She has also released a very helpful chart indicating purchasing limits for the weekend.

Wilson showed off the three chases of her WonderCon exclusive Purple Metallic Soonay figures. The entire run is limited to 20, with these three chases available to three lucky purchasers.

As an added bonus during WonderCon, Wilson will be giving away a free goodie bag with $50+ purchases while supplies last. The giveaway, in honor of Soonay’s recent birthday, is limited to a total of 50 bags.

Each bag is guaranteed to contain a 3″ vinyl Soonay sticker (LE 50), a pad of sticky notes, and a pen. Three lucky bags will even contain a “Pink Ticket”, which the winners of can redeem through 4pm on Sunday, April 3 for a Soonay or Toratai figure at the booth.

Wilson’s newest original character, Toratai, will be making its debut at WonderCon this year. The new hand-painted figure is an open edition, starting out with five pieces at a special introductory price of $55 (which does not include a bag or pin).

Get your game face on because Wilson’s next WonderCon exclusive is a 1000 piece Soonay puzzle, and you might just recognize the backdrop as being a certain convention center. The 70cmx50cm puzzle is limited to just 20 pieces, and will retail for $40. And, it even has an official WonderCon exclusive sticker.

In need of a new lanyard after a few years away from cons? Wilson has you covered with this adorable Soonay lanyard (limited edition of 100), which will have its debut at WonderCon. You can pick it up for just $5 — or if you won’t make it to the show, you can grab it online after the show if quantity remains.

Wilson has more tricks up her sleeve for WonderCon attendees, starting with this Purple Floral Soonay Pin. The 2.65″ pin is limited to 50 pieces, and it glows in the dark. You can pick up the soft enamel pin, which will be stickered as an official WonderCon exclusive, for $15 each while it lasts (which won’t be long).

Wilson’s first Comic-Con exclusive is, of course, a brand new Soonay — with this iteration being a metallic purple. It’s a limited edition exclusive of 20, and there will be three chases. Each will also come with a free NFT, if that is your thing. Each will retail for $75, and best of all, will come with a WonderCon exclusive sticker.

While there’s still plenty to be announced, if you spend $50 at her booth (booth numbers still TBA), you’ll get to celebrate Soonay’s birthday in style with a special goodie bag. Each $50+ purchase will come with some free sticky notes, a pen, and “maybe even another surprise” while supplies last — all of which are decked out with Soonay’s.
