Artist Russell Walks San Diego Comic-Con 2026 Exclusives

Artist Russell Walks has spent decades bringing some of pop culture’s most beloved characters and galaxies to life through his richly detailed artwork. Best known for his Star Wars pieces, he has also created artwork for almost every major entertainment brand, including Lucasfilm, Disney, Marvel, Paramount, and Warner Bros., earning a reputation as one of the industry’s most accomplished licensed artists.

He’s back at Booth #2137 this year, and he’s celebrating even more of your favorite franchises and fandoms, in beautiful cityspaces and character pieces. And there’s more still to come, including the Lucasfilm calendar for 2027 (which you’ll find in the Lucasfilm Pavilion), and another poster you’ll want to pay a bounty for still to be revealed.

Walks is heading to the dark side for his first San Diego Comic-Con exclusive, “Darth Maul: Shadow Lord“. It showcases the fan-favorite Sith in cinematic style, capturing the menace and intensity that made Maul one of the most memorable villains in the Star Wars saga.

Created in cooperation with Lucasfilm and Trends International, the piece highlights Maul at the height of his power, in an officially licensed 24″x36” poster that is limited to just 125 hand-numbered copies. It will be available for $100, and you can pre-order it online now for pick-up at the Booth #2137 to ensure it doesn’t slip away.

He is also taking attendees to distant locales, and expanding his series of travel posters for places that only exist in our imaginations with two new DC-inspired entries debuting at San Diego Comic-Con. “Metropolis: The City of Tomorrow” and “Gotham City: Where Every Shadow Has a Story” both invite fans to visit the hometowns of Superman and Batman through the lens of a vintage travel advertisement.

Each 24″x36″ licensed print highlights the distinct personality of its city, from the gleaming optimism and futuristic skyline of Metropolis to the gothic architecture and looming mystery of Gotham. The prints will be available in limited quantities at Booth #2137 and retail for $65 each, or $110 for the pair.
