After months of anticipation, fans are finally getting their first chance to experience OverPower TCG: Skybound, the newest expansion for the revived OverPower Card Game. The set brings characters from Invincible, The Walking Dead, Birthright, and Excellence into the game, allowing players to build dream teams of heroes and villains from across the Skybound universe. True to OverPower’s roots, players assemble teams of iconic characters and battle it out while completing unique missions, creating a fast-paced game that feels like you’re controlling your favorite comic book heroes.

Before the set officially arrives at retailers on August 28, San Diego Comic-Con attendees will be the very first to crack packs, build decks, and play. Fans can head to the Marriott Marquis gaming area throughout the weekend for sealed deck demos, where they’ll get an early look at the new cards and learn the game from the OverPower team.

Those looking for an even deeper dive can also attend the “You Got Comics in My Games. You Got Games in My Comics” panel on Saturday, July 25, from 12:00pm-1:00pm in Grand 10 & 11 at the Marriott Marquis. The discussion will explore the growing crossover between comics and tabletop gaming with Joseph Gagnepain and James Sanderson (OverPower), Tim Shields (Cascade Games), Hannibal Tabu (MPLS Sound, The Sundering), Amin Amat (Road to Oz), and Joelle Sellner (Teen Titans, DC Superhero Girls), moderated by Rick Hernandez. Attendees will also receive a sample from the upcoming Skybound release while supplies last.
