are these things ticket things?!? or can i actually just go to this booth and buy stuff? 1st timer here so dont know if their stuff sells out instantly. what does pre release mean?

  • Joanna Boese

    JIGGLES!

  • Go to the booth and buy! Last year, their Shopkins doll was ticketed (at the booth, not in Sails), but everything else presumably won’t be.

  • Akiba4tN8

“Pre-release” means that it’s available at SDCC for purchase before anywhere else. The Shopkins doll last year wasn’t ticketed per say, but u had to get in line and try to pick a “winning ball” outta the bag to be able to purchase it (only a 20% chance of winning). I tried three times with my niece but wasn’t successful 😕. Be prepared cuz SDCC is all about waiting in lines Lol. It’s fun but it’s madness!!

  • Jake Shafer

Oh so prerelease means i can just buy this stuff later on then? So the non pre release stuff is the harder/wont be able to get outside of sdcc stuff?

  • Correct.

  • The Comic-Con official exhibitor list has UCC at two locations: Booth #5625 and #700. Wanted to confirm the items will actually be sold at 5625? Thanks!

  • Yes, the exclusives will be at 5626!

  • Akiba4tN8

Yes, but be aware that some “exclusives” are sometimes just “variants” of an item i.e. It might just be a different colorway or it might come w/ a few extra accesories. e.g. The Rick n’ Morty portal gun is a metallic chrome on the Con version, but may be a flat color in a general release… There are also shared Exclusives like many of the Funko Pop figures that will also be available at places like Barnes & Noble and Hot Topic. Only difference is the sticker label (SDCC vs the store name)

    Quantum Mechanix booth #4145

  • Akiba4tN8

If you mean SDCC “International”, it’s just something added to the official name (I can’t remember how long ago), maybe 10-15 yrs ago? It’s gone through a series of name changes over the years since the 1st one in 1970.

  • JackSkull

    Thanks !

  • JJtoob

I want them Rocket League metal finish cars, and can’t go to SDCC, but I see people are starting to list the box on ebay for twice the price. Not sure I $100 want the cars.

  • Akiba4tN8

Wait til Con week, there should be enough for sale to drive the price down. If you’re patient, wait a few months and it should be even cheaper…

  • Daniel Sanchez (Puggles)

will the steven universe cast and crew be at SDCC this year? if so please let me know what time and day i really wand to go.

  • JJtoob

We’ll see how many buy it for resale. Since I’m a fan, I can’t fathom parting with it if I owned it.

  • Akiba4tN8

    👍🏽

  • cable

I think for any of the above items, i would check with the makers site
first before any resaler who sale for profit and beyond so check and
around and try save at the same time.

  • Dave Relf

I want to know if the Gravity Falls figures can be removed from the domes and played with. I want to give them to my kid.

How crazy is the UCC booth during preview night?

  • Daniel Edwards

not sure. only been on other days. It seems like it will be 300 per day including preview night but they may not do the “pick a marble” system on Preview night since there are less people…. not sure.

  • Jamie

Is all merchandise available every day and Preview Night? I know some items at other booths are only available on certain days.

  • maxhdrm

Not sure if this will help but I found individual blind balled (ball shaped plastic package) of these cars at Hot Topic. I don’t get the hook for the game but they do have them there if you want to save the madness. I get this keeps from getting duplicates but if you can’t get it at the show, maybe it would be better at HT then ebay for crazy amounts of money.

  • Cynthia

what is the booth # for shopkins dolls?

  • Fred

Are all these going to be available at the UCC booth?

  • JJtoob

The ones you saw can be found at many stores including Target and GameStop, as well as online at the ToyWiz site. The difference is that the paint on them is glossy, the ones from SDCC have a metallic finish, but not to worry, ToyWiz also sells this set, at $40 more, but hey, I would have spent more by going to the con, and I really wanted them so I bought it.

  • JJtoob

I did check the site and at the time they didn’t have this specific set, but about a week ago, I saw that it was on their site, and at about $10 less than most ebay listings, and since it is from the official site, and it would still cost less than it would cost me going to the con personally, I decided to buy it.

  • JJtoob

BTW you were right, some ebay sellers are now listing it even lower than ToyWiz, even with shipping added. I wasn’t patient enough though and now I’ll have to wait longer since ToyWiz won’t ship it until someday this month. Oh well, I only lost on about $10 in savings and possibly a few days in shipping time. You live and you learn.

  • Moxie Cooper

I do not understand why companies think making exclusive products is a good idea, all it does is create an inflated secondary market with people scalping them on Ebay, they make nothing off of it, and it makes critical fans like me angry and less likely to buy their shit in the future…
