Last year, the Warner Bros. Pictures panel was one of the top moments of SDCC. That’s a strong statement given its competition, yet despite a near-sleepless night in line we were surprised by the Godzilla teaser, caught our first glimpse of Man of Steel and Pacific Rim, and treated to over 20 minutes of behind-the-scenes footage and exclusive scenes from Peter Jackson’s return to Middle Earth.
Well folks, better plan accordingly, because we’re about to be wowed again on Saturday, July 20, 2013.
That’s right – a Warner Bros. Pictures rep has just confirmed for us that its Hall H panel will again be on the Saturday of Comic-Con this year.
We can only imagine the films which will be included in its presentation. Just looking at our Movies of SDCC 2013 preview, we list The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug [UPDATE: Peter Jackson has confirmed it will not appear], Alfonso Cuarón’s Gravity starring George Clooney, and the first real footage of Godzilla. Not to mention all the news about the DC cinematic universe. And those are just some of the things we’re expecting to hear – we imagine WB will slip in a few surprises as well.
We think we can see the line for Hall H forming right about now…
