NECA San Diego Comic-Con 2015 Exclusives [UPDATE June 12]

NECA always brings some high-quality exclusives to the table, and this year’s San Diego Comic-Con offerings look to be no different. After getting a sneak peek at its line-up of licensed figures at this year’s Toy Fair, NECA is finally taking the curtains off its exclusives for SDCC 2015.

Over the next several weeks, NECA will be unveiling all of its SDCC exclusives for 2015, and we’ll update as soon as new exclusive items are announced.

With that said, let’s see what NECA has in store for SDCC attendees this year:

[UPDATE June 15] Through Comic-Con International’s list of exclusives, another NECA exclusive set has been revealed: the Planet of the Apes Classic Series 3 7″ Scale Action Figure Bundle. This set includes General Aldo, Caesar, and Conquest Gorilla – and will be available for $75. Once we get a better photo, we’ll update, but for now, here’s a look at the figure:

[UPDATE June 12] NECA added two more exclusives this morning: the 1/6 scale Pamela Voorhees and Young Jason figures for $50, to celebrate the 35th anniversary of Friday the 13th. They’ll both be available in limited amounts, and you can find more information on NECA’s site.

According to Toyark, the 7″ figure is a tribute to the classic “Force of Freedom” line released by Coleco in the late 1980’s. It features over 25 points of articulation and comes equipped with a machine gun, compound bow, arrows, and knife accessories, as well as a collectible file card with a biography. It will retail for $30. Here’s a look at the figure:

You can find more information, including additional photos, on Toyark’s site.

[UPDATE May 21] It’s been almost a month since we’ve seen a new NECA San Diego Comic-Con exclusive, but this one was worth the wait: the Pacific Rim Replica Mini-Figures Box Set of chibis. NECA had showed off the set at Toy Fair earlier this year, but they look even cooler than we’d hoped. Just like with NECA’s other exclusives this year, the set will be available at SDCC, as well as a few other conventions. It will retail for $50.

The set, which was revealed exclusively by Topless Robot, includes poseable replicas of the Kaiju and Jaeger mini figures from Pacific Rim, including Romeo Blue, Horizon Brave, Trespasses, Karloff, and Hardship. They’re 3″ tall, and include a cool window box packaging. There’s no word yet on pricing or availability.

[UPDATE April 28] We’ve got the honor of revealing their next exclusive as part of #T2sday, which also combines the future with the past: the glow-in-the-dark Terminator 2 – Retro Endoglow Endoskeleton Action Figure. It will retail for $30.

Endglow1

The 7″ figure is a tribute to the classic Kenner Terminator 2 line of the early 1990’s, but NECA has built upon that design by applying modern sculpting, detail and articulation to upgrade the figure for modern fans. The Endoglow Endoskeleton features over 25 points of articulation and comes with plasma rifle accessory. It also really glows in the dark after being exposed to light for a short time.

The special blister card packaging is an homage to the classic card art as well, and features a visual checklist for every NECA Terminator 2 figure to date. Here’s a look at the packaging:

[UPDATE April 24] Action Figure Insider has the exclusive reveal on the first of NECA’s exclusives – Ambush Predator. According to AFI, the exclusive figure “is based on classic Kenner Mail-Away Ambush Predator Figure” from the 1990’s, but this version comes with two different, removable masks (vac metal and fully painted), as well as two large, removable battle blades and a removable backpack. It will retail for $30.
