June is here, and you know what that means… That we can officially start saying that San Diego Comic-Con is “next month”.
Are you ready? Probably not — we’re certainly not over here. But luckily for you, our team works hard to keep you up-to-date on all the latest news, updates, and announcements, so you don’t miss a thing (even if we miss sleep).
So let’s take a look at what we’re expecting in June:
More Panel Confirmations
Traditionally, this schedule is released exactly two weeks before the convention, which should mean that we won’t get a peek at the full, official schedule until July 9-12.
With that said though, the panel confirmations always slowly start to trickle in and we’re bound to know plenty of movie, TV, and other panels long before July. At the moment, we’ve already had several big properties announced, including Marvel Studios, the upcoming HBO Max The Big Bang Theory spinoff series Stuart Fails to Save the Universe, and the film Super Troopers 3.
Our continually updated list of Announced Panels will be going up in June as well, to track all the panel announcements for you in one easy location.
Exclusive Announcements & Presales
June will be a big month in the world of exclusives for most of the major companies. We already have early details on some exclusives from fan favorites like Hasbro, UCC Distributing, and Yesterdays. And, in case you missed it, the official Comic-Con International merch is now available for pre-order!
But there’s still plenty more to be announced before the convention. We also expect announcements to kickoff for most vendors, including Mattel, Funko, Monogram, Toddland, Symbiote Studios, Hallmark, and so much more.
Parking
Need parking? Hopefully you remembered to enter the Ace parking lottery. The lottery will be taking place June 1 (that’s today!), and you’ll be divided into groups, with the first group sale starting on June 8.
Offsite Announcements
We already have several San Diego Comic-Con offsite announcements, including the return of the Her Universe Fashion Show, Kevin Smith comedy shows, Hasbro and Bucket Lister’s Candy Land Cafe pop-up, and the now sold-out parties for Funko Fundays and Thrilljoy’s Rock the Block party.
Last year in June, we got several offsite announcements, including news of the annual Fandom party, the Hello Kitty Cafe truck, Yesterdays party, and more.
Plus, while not officially offsites, we can’t wait to see more this year’s MTS trolley wraps, which should be debuting any day.
You can always find a list of offsites on our event calendar.
More SDConCast
Although the new season of the SDConCast is already in full swing, we have an exciting schedule of upcoming guests to talk movies, TV, offsites, exclusives, and much more all month. In addition, each week we’ll continue to keep you up to date on all the latest news, to help ensure you’re as prepared as possible for July.
