Under The Tents Late Edition: Super7, CCI-IFF, Haven, Dreamworks

We’ve started a new, quasi-regular column on the Blog titled “Under The Tents”. The title is symbolic, as it’s representatives of the times we all line up under the tents waiting for those big moments to happen inside Hall H or Ballroom 20.

Here’s the stuff you might have missed for today:

Super7 has announced its latest exclusives, the SUPER7 X SECRET BASE, ZOMBIE FIGHTER “MIXED UP MASSACRE” VINYL FIGURE and MONSTER FAMILY, DOKU DUO “ORANGE FIZZ” VINYL FIGURE both vinyls wll be available at booth #5425 the Zombie Fighter will be $65 and the Doku Duo will be $35.

CCI has posted details of this year’s annual Independent Film Festival. Again, the CCI-IFF will be held in the Marriott Marquis and Marina. A complete schedule and descriptions of each film have been posted online. The list of judges for this year’s CCI-IFF were also announced: Geoff Boucher, Alex DeMille, and Kathy Najimy.

DKE Toys will be selling the book Death Goes Pop, the first from Pittsburgh artist Mike Egan.

The book is limited to 100 copies and comes with a signed and numbered letterpressed book plate and hand embellished screen print. It will be available at the DKE booth, #5045, for $25. DKE also teased that the book “is the counterpart to something else DKE will be revealing shortly”. Stay tuned…

While Syfy’s Haven had already been confirmed to attend SDCC this year, their cast and crew shared a video on Youtube to share how excited they are. The announcement also reveals that their panel will be at 3PM in Room 6DE on Friday:

We now know some of the Dreamworks Animation swag attendees will be getting their hands on this year, thanks to a tweet from Stellar Imports LTD: Turbo, Mr, Peabody & Sherman and How to Train Your Dragon buttons.

We suspect this is part of the Dreamworks Animation Filmmakers Panel we previously announced or as part of a giveaway at the Twentieth Century Fox Booth (#4229).
