Kidrobot didn’t have a physical booth at last year’s San Diego Comic-Con, but their exclusives were still all over the convention. This year, though, we’re excited that they’ll have a physical home on the convention floor again, and from the hints we’ve been hearing this year, they’re going to be bringing everything from Adventure Time to a play on Kim Jong-un.
Here’s a look at Kidrobot’s Comic-Con offerings for 2015:
[UPDATE June 25] Kidrobot and Seriously, the mobile entertainment start-up, will be debuting their collectible Best Friends branded vinyl at Comic-Con this year. You’ll be able to purchase the Best Friends x Kidrobot Slug vinyl figures, including Devourer and Lola, in both black and glow-in-the-dark editions, for $49.99 each.
You can also stop by on Saturday, July 11 from 9AM-12PM to win special prizes from Best Friends at Kidrobot’s booth, like this screen print:
[UPDATE June 23] Kidrobot’s other Dunny set, which we showed off earlier this week in Under the Tents, involve a team up of Kidrobot and Junko Mizuno for the long-awaited Violet Soda Lady 8″ Dunny and a special Comic-Con exclusive colorway, Berry Chocolate Lady. Berry Chocolate Lady will be available at Kidrobot’s San Diego Comic-Con Booth #5645 for $100, and Violet Soda Lady will release in stores and online in July.
[UPDATE June 22] There are no strings on this Comic-Con exclusive: Kidrobot and WuzOne have teamed up for the first production piece by WuzOne for Kidrobot. The piece, the No String on Me 8″ Dunny, was inspired by Pinocchio and will retail for $60.
[UPDATE June 19] Oh my glob! So, Kidrobot mentioned months ago that not only were they releasing a Cartoon Network Adventure Time capsule blind box series, but that we’d be seeing some Comic-Con exclusives in the figure. Now, we’ve got the details: a Puff Finn Con Exclusive Colorway 6″ Medium Figure, as well as a Lord Monochromicorn Con Exclusive Colorway 6″ Medium Figure (with Cake). Both will retail $49.99 and will be available in limited quantities at the Kidrobot booth #5645.
Here’s a look at the two figures:
And because we’re big Adventure Time fans, here’s a look at the non-exclusive rest of the series, which retail for between $5.99-$49.99
[UPDATE June 11] Kidrobot and Capcom are launching a new vinyl Mega Man Robot Masters series, that’s kicking off at Comic-Con with two exclusives: Break Man 7″ Medium Figure and a Mega Man Colorway 7″ Medium Figure. Both will retail for $49.99.
[UPDATE June 4] This isn’t the Baby Huey of your youth. Kidrobot announced today that they’ll be bringing a new vinyl figure by Frank Kozik, titled Baby Huey, to Comic-Con this year. The figure, which comes in both “Playful Pyong Yank Pink” and “Supervillain Blue” color-ways, features a whiny evil dictator that you can call your very own.
The figure will make a limited debut at Kidrobot’s booth during SDCC, and then be available in stores and online starting August 6, for $65. Here’s a look at both colorways:
