San Diego Comic-Con 2019 List of Announced Panels

The official San Diego Comic-Con schedule is normally released exactly two weeks before the convention (which would put this year’s release dates on July 4-7), but many properties reveal long before then that they’ll be attending the convention. This is where you can find all of our compiled announcements in one handy master post.

We’ll be updating this post all the way until the schedules are officially announced — and it’s important to note that the schedule is never finalized until Comic-Con International or the various studios/entities reveal it. All schedules are subject to change.

Movies

Batman: Hush (7:15PM-9:15PM, Ballroom 20). Warner Bros. Home Entertainment, DC, and Warner Bros. Animation returns for their traditional Friday night Comic-Con World Premiere of the latest DC Universe movie, and this time it’s a doozy—the long-awaited Batman: Hush. An adaptation of the seminal DC classic tale, Batman: Hush centers on a shadowy new villain known only as Hush, who uses Gotham’s Rogues Gallery to destroy Batman’s crime-fighting career, as well as Bruce Wayne’s personal life—which has already been complicated by a relationship with Selina Kyle, a.k.a. Catwoman. Meet the filmmakers and voice cast behind this new classic for a post-screening panel that will include Jason O’Mara (The Man in the High Castle) and Jennifer Morrison (Once Upon a Time) as the voices of Batman/Bruce Wayne and Catwoman/Selina Kyle, respectively; Geoffrey Arend (Madam Secretary) as the Riddler, Hynden Walch (Teen Titans Go!) as Harley Quinn, Bruce Thomas (Legally Blonde, Kyle XY) as Jim Gordon, director Justin Copeland (Reign of the Supermen), screenwriter Ernie Altbacker (Teen Titans: The Judas Contract), character designer Phil Bourassa (Young Justice), and executive producer James Tucker (Reign of the Supermen).

Batman: Hush Encore Screening (9:30PM-11PM, Ballroom 20). Missed it the first time? Loved it so much, you must see it again. Warner Bros. Archer Exclusive Sneak Peek Screening and Q&A (5PM, Indigo Ballroom). Archer, FXX’s award-winning animated comedy series, returns to San Diego in celebration of its 10th season! In Archer: 1999, fans find Sterling Archer, Lana Kane and their crew of acid-tongued misfits onboard the M/V Seamus salvage ship exploring deep space and trying to outsmart giant aliens, intergalactic pirates and vicious bounty hunters. Jenny Hart (Kristen Wiig) supports her lottery scratcher-obsessed mother, Betty (Maya Rudolph) and her witty, creative daughter, Violet (Jillian Bell). With the help of her eternally optimistic, dreamer boyfriend Wayne (Ike Barinholtz), they hope to one day achieve the American dream. While they are always struggling to make ends meet, they’re already rich in friends, family and laughter. Bob’s Burgers (4PM-4:50PM, Indigo Ballroom). Always one of the most entertaining panels at Comic-Con, the Emmy Award-winning animated FOX series “Bob’s Burgers” returns to San Diego with a few surprises in store! Creator and executive producer Loren Bouchard and executive producer Nora Smith will break news about the upcoming season, and the always entertaining cast including H. Jon Benjamin, Dan Mintz, John Roberts, Kristen Schaal, Larry Murphy and Megan Mullally will have you howling with laughter with never-before-seen footage followed by a lively panel discussion and audience Q&A.

The Boys (3:30PM-4:30PM, Ballroom 20). Join executive producers Seth Rogen and Eric Kripke, along with series stars Karl Urban, Jack Quaid, Antony Starr, Erin Moriarty, Jessie T. Usher, Laz Alonso, Chace Crawford, Tomer Capon, Karen Fukuhara, and Elisabeth Shue, with moderator Aisha Tyler, for a behind the scenes look at their upcoming series. Based on The New York Times best-selling comic by Garth Ennis and Darick Robertson, The Boys is a fun and irreverent take on what happens when superheroes – who are as popular as celebrities – abuse their superpowers rather than use them for good. It’s the powerless against the super-powerful as The Boys embark on a heroic quest to expose the truth about The Seven.

Carnival Row (4:45PM-5:45PM, Ballroom 20). Join stars Orlando Bloom, Cara Delevingne, David Gyasi, Tamzin Merchant and executive producers Travis Beacham and Marc Guggenheim for a sneak peek and conversation about Carnival Row, moderated by Tim Kash. Set in a Victorian fantasy world filled with mythological immigrant creatures whose exotic homelands were invaded by the empires of man, Amazon Prime Video’s Carnival Row explores how this growing population struggles to coexist with humans — forbidden to live, love, or fly with freedom. But even in darkness, hope lives, as a human detective, Rycroft Philostrate (Orlando Bloom), and a refugee faerie named Vignette Stonemoss (Cara Delevingne) rekindle a dangerous affair despite an increasingly intolerant society.

The Dark Crystal: Age of Resistance (3:30PM-5PM, Hall H). Netflix presents an exclusive sneak peek at the highly-anticipated fantasy series, THE DARK CRYSTAL: AGE OF RESISTANCE, based on Jim Henson’s groundbreaking 1982 feature film, THE DARK CRYSTAL. Marvel Animation Celebrates Marvel’s 80th Anniversary (3:30PM-4:30PM, Room 6A). Join Cort Lane (SVP, Animation and Family Entertainment), Kalia Ramirez (Director, Family Entertainment – Development & Partnerships), writers Mark Hoffmeier (Spider-Man: The Animated Series) and Marty Isenberg (X-Men: The Animated Series), and fan-favorite voice actors Josh Keaton (Spectacular Spider-Man, Marvel’s Avengers Assemble) and Jennifer Hale (Wolverine & the X-Men, Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy) as they take a journey through highlights of over five decades of Marvel cartoons. neXt (6:45PM-7:45PM, Room 6DE).  Join us for the world premiere of neXt, a propulsive, fact-based thriller about the emergence of a deadly, rogue artificial intelligence that combines pulse-pounding action with an examination of how technology is invading our lives and transforming us in ways we don’t yet understand. Coming to FOX in 2020, neXt stars John Slattery (“Mad Men”) as a Silicon Valley pioneer, who teams with cybercrime agent Fernanda Andrade (“The First”), to fight a villain unlike anything we’ve ever seen. Preacher (7PM-8PM, Hall H). Panelists include executive producer Seth Rogen and cast members Dominic Cooper, Ruth Negga, Graham McTavish and Mark Harelik. The panel will be moderated by IGN’s editor-in-chief of entertainment Terri Schwartz.

[NEW] The Rook (6PM, Room 6A). Expected to Appear: Olivia Munn, Joely Richardon, and Emma Greenwell.

The Rookie (6PM-7PM, Horton Grand Theatre).  Join series star and executive producer, Nathan Fillion, as he discusses his latest role as John Nolan on ABC’s high-action drama “The Rookie,” as production begins on its second season. Joining Nathan for this intimate conversation will be longtime friend, and “The Rookie” showrunner, Alexi Hawley. The two collaborators will also reflect on Nathan’s overarching career, spanning from “Firefly” to Shakespeare, and now, playing the oldest Rookie in the LAPD.

Rooster Teeth Special Video Presentation and Q&A (8PM-9PM, Room 6DE).

She-Ra and the Princesses of Power (10:15AM-11:15AM, Room 6BCF). Join the Rebellion as executive producer Noelle Stevenson, Aimee Carrero (Adora/She-Ra), Karen Fukuhara (Glimmer), Marcus Scribner (Bow), and Lauren Ash (Scorpia) offer a peek inside the highly anticipated third season set to debut August 2 on Netflix. What We Left Behind: Looking Back at Star Trek: Deep Space Nine (7PM-8PM, Room 32AB). Feminist Comics that Rock (12PM-1PM, San Diego Public Library). Let’s celebrate the diversity of strong female characters, authors, and publishers in contemporary kids’ comics! Raina Telgemeier (Guts), Claudia Aguirre (Morning in America), Jennifer Holm (Sunny Rolls the Dice), and Peggy Burns (publisher, Drawn & Quarterly) are in a conversation moderated by Candice Mack (Eisner Awards Jury, LA Public Library).

The Future As I See It (10AM-11AM, Room 23ABC). Top creators discuss the future as seen in their work, unfolding in the world around them, and imagined in their minds. How can we change the narrative and the conversation to make graphic novels as mainstream as prose novels? But what goes on behind the scenes at a publishing house — how are the decisions made to publish, edit, design, market, and sell a graphic novel? What drives different publishers to produce the unique kind of work they do? This panel addresses these questions with the CBC Graphic Novel Committee member publishers. [NEW] It’s Women Who Love Horror: The Forgotten British Girls Comic (3PM-4PM, Room 29AB). Misty was the groundbreaking British comic for girls that laid the way for women’s horror comics. Our diverse panel will discuss how, while horror has often been seen as a male-centric genre, it has always been driven by a huge female fandom and how the revival of Misty can once again pave the way for a new kind of comics. Moderated by journalist Rosie Knight.
