WB Pilot Screenings (6PM-10PM, Ballroom 20)

  • Deception: From Chuck co-creator Chris Fedak, the Blindspot creative team of Martin Gero, Greg Berlanti and Sarah Schechter, Emmy®-winning director David Nutter (Game of Thrones, The Flash) and renowned magician/puzzle creator David Kwong (Now You See Me, Blindspot), Deception is a thrilling crime drama that combines FBI counter-espionage with the mysterious world of magic and misdirection. When his career is ruined by scandal, superstar magician Cameron Black (Jack Cutmore-Scott) has only one place to turn to practice his art of deception, illusion and influence — the FBI. Using every trick in the book and inventing new ones, he will help the government catch the world’s most elusive criminals while staging the biggest illusions of his career. Deception stars Jack Cutmore-Scott, Ilfenesh Hadera, Lenora Crichlow, Amaury Nolasco, Justin Chon, Laila Robins and Vinnie Jones.
  • KryptonSet two generations before the destruction of the legendary Man of Steel’s home planet, Krypton follows Superman’s grandfather (Cameron Cuffe) — whose House of El was ostracized and shamed — as he fights to redeem his family’s honor and save his beloved world from chaos. Based on DC characters, Krypton is from Warner Horizon Scripted Television and is executive produced by David S. Goyer (Man of Steel, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice, The Dark Knight trilogy) through his Phantom Four banner, along with Damian Kindler and Cameron Welsh.
  • Black Lightning: Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) is a man wrestling with a secret. As the father of two daughters and principal of a charter high school that also serves as a safe haven for young people in a neighborhood overrun by gang violence, he is a hero to his community. Nine years ago, Pierce was a hero of a different sort. Gifted with the superhuman power to harness and control electricity, he used those powers to keep his hometown streets safe as the masked vigilante Black Lightning. However, after too many nights with his life on the line, and seeing the effects of the damage and loss that his alter ego was inflicting on his family, he left his Super Hero days behind and settled into being a principal and a dad. Choosing to help his city without using his superpowers, he watched his daughters Anissa (Nafessa Williams) and Jennifer (China Anne McClain) grow into strong young women, even though his marriage to their mother, Lynn (Christine Adams), suffered. Almost a decade later, Pierce’s crime-fighting days are long behind him…or so he thought. But with crime and corruption spreading like wildfire, and those he cares about in the crosshairs of the menacing local gang The One Hundred, Black Lightning returns — to save not only his family, but also the soul of his community.
  • Teen Titans Go!: The Teen Titans are back at it again, in Teen Titans Go!, with all new comedic adventures both in and out of Titans Tower, and we’ll have you covered by screening a brand-new, hour-long episode. • Unikitty!: Your favorite character from The LEGO® Movie now has her own show! Journey to a joyous kingdom full of sparkle matter, happy thoughts and the occasional rage-out in Unikitty!, an all-new animated series. As ruler of the kingdom, Unikitty has busy days full of royal responsibilities. Arrow Special Video Presentation and Q&A (5:50PM-6:30PM, Ballroom 20). With the future of the team left hanging in the balance, Arrow gave new definition to the phrase “blowing up the show.” The emotional showdown between Oliver Queen and Adrian Chase was the perfect conclusion to a stellar fifth season of The CW’s gritty DC Super Hero series. Now, the focus shifts to uncovering the fate of each and every member of Team Arrow. Could anyone have possibly survived an island-wide explosion, or has the book closed on them, as it has on Oliver’s five-year flashback story? Returning to San Diego Comic-Con for a sixth consecutive year, cast members Stephen Amell, David Ramsey, Willa Holland, Emily Bett Rickards, Paul Blackthorne, Katie Cassidy, Echo Kellum, Juliana Harkavy, Rick Gonzalez and producers will be on-hand for an eye-opening conversation about the upcoming season.

Black Lightning Special Video Presentation and Q&A (4:50PM-5:10PM, Ballroom 20). Black Lightning makes its Comic-Con debut! Jefferson Pierce (Cress Williams) is a man wrestling with a secret. Join series stars Cress Williams (Hart of Dixie, Friday Night Lights), Nafessa Williams (Twin Peaks), China Anne McClain (House of Payne) and Christine Adams (Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.), along with executive producers Salim Akil & Mara Brock Akil (Being Mary Jane, The Game, Jumping the Broom, Girlfriends) for an exclusive sneak peek at the upcoming series along with an electrifying Q&A session.

I would love to know how to get into the signatures for TWD. I have never gotten close enough to the booth in the last 3 years to even ask.

  • David Johnson

Here’s an article on cast signings from last year, SDCCUB will be updating things as they get closer but reading this will get You started. http://sdccblog.com/2014/07/guide-to-autograph-drawings-in-the-sails-pavilion/

  • Diane S

David, why must they open so early? I feel like an outcast because my free time is very limited. SDCC makes me feel as if being disabled is an offense. I just want the same chance even tho I can’t line up at 3am. Seems the same as it’s been. Line up the night before and hope you are in the right line. So basically i’m SOL. by 9 am and 10 am it’s all been there and done that. Why is it that a system that has a way to randomly get tickets for SDCC2017 can’t do online drawings in the same fashion? Most that are in line early are making a living of selling convention stuff on ebay. I know the SDCCUB has people getting swag. Have you ever considered having a lottery for your extras? Sorry so long winded

  • Annabella G

Your question and comment rings true to all of events there. I’d much rather get a ticket and just show up than to sleep on the ground overnight like nothing else in the world matters. Is there no dignity? It’s 2017 and a digital age. Are there no other ways to manage the crowds?

  • David Johnson

This is only My 3rd year going & so far I’ve only gotten 1 Cast Signed Poster. The 1st year i couldn’t figure out any of it, now as long as they don’t change it I understand the FOX Lottery which really isn’t any good for You because it starts on the back of the Sails Pavilion Stairs. But if You go over to the doorway into the Exhibit Hall near Nickolodian & GeekNations Booths (You need to check but that should still be the line location). FOX was letting people line up without lottery tickets & if there was extra time they got autos. I don’t know if any of the other companies do this or not. There was a FOX Employee there that answered peoples questions & made sure people weren’t cutting in line.

  • Dan Mitchell

specifically last year for TWD signing, unlike other signings where its Sails or going to booth first thing when exhibit floor opens and drawing winning ticket. What TWD did was batches of tickets randomly throughout the day. it would take 20min to get through line to draw ticket, if u won u would come by certain time for signing and if u didnt draw winning ticket u could go to back of line and try again if tickets still left in the batch.

I wish more cast signings and exclusives were like this, random selection throughout day

  • Diane S

Thanks Dan, is that random batches at the booth or in sales? If the booth, is there a separate line than the one that wraps around the AMC booth like 3 times to get into whatever TWD picks this year? I’m guessing the garbage chick drawing a gun on Rick, etc.

  • Diane S

Where did they do the random batches? I am not clear on where to make passes by.lol Last year ABC did tweets with instructions on how to get into the once upon a time drawing. Don’t know if the are coming this year as they are doing an over haul and only 3 of the reg cast is still in the show. With ABC it was at the booth

  • Dan Mitchell

They did the random batches at the booth where the stars would do the signing. My guess is it’ll b 2 lines with fan exhibit and for for drawing otherwise that’ll slow things way down. Each company does it differently but so far I’ve only heard of amc doing random drawings throughout the day. Other companies will tweet it and others it’ll be in the sails

  • Dan Mitchell

Ya be interesting what they decide for this year. 2years ago was could get pic being eaten by walkers and last years was kneeling possibly being a victim. Last year only time booth wasn’t busy was preview night

  • Lady_Lestrange

here in Brazil people are used to sleep months in line for a good place at some concert…I never did it, I think is really lame, but to sleep in the line for one night is not a problem to me…the only problem is that I couldn’t get tickets hahahaha so I’m just waiting for more offsites to be confirmed (cause everyone I wanted to see from TV shows, well, it won’t happen)… I think the selling process is even worse than sleep on the ground for one night…is actually insane

  • Diane S

How can anyone sleep in line for months? Work and life would have to stop. Not everyone has that kind of freedom. My child is 29 and needs care all the time. It’s not possible for me to do even one night. Plus i have health problems of my own. To be at Comic-con and not get a chance is worse as I see it

  • Lady_Lestrange

Teens here in Brazil do it…they did for Beyonce concert, for Bieber concert… they form a line with tents and a group of people take turns to sleep there…is insane, I know… but they do it… If is only for one night and I’m free, i don’t mind, but the whole SDCC system is a bit insane as well… here in Brazil we have some similar for events like rock in rio and huge festivals…they open the site for selling and in seconds there’s no more tickets… but here, everyone has a shot at trying, they just have to be fast hahaha I don’t think is fair this lottery system for everything, specially for people trying for the first time, but ok… I found some nice stuff to do and will enjoy it anyways

  • Mike Harris

Is there no HBO presence/Game of Thrones or Westworld?

My girlfriend was really looking forward to GoT stuff this year.

  • twman09

GoT is Friday, Westworld is Saturday.

  • Diane S

True that teens have more time, tho I think parents here might have something to say about it plus we have ticket than can be got online. SDCC gives to chances to buy pre reg that basically gives you a 50% chance to get a ticket or more. Then open reg that is about 6% you can add to your chances by being in a group all trying at the same time with a list of who goes first. Lady, I can’t wait in line for more than a few hours, so at least I have a chance when it’s online. My child must always be watched because of her disability. No matter how things are chosen, they can’t please everyone. We have the chance to speak here, I fear it does little to change things. I make the best of the time I am there but know upfront that there is much I have no chance at the way things are.

  • Mike Harris

Damn, we’re only going on Saturday, so she’s gonna be super bummed to miss GoT.

I am greatly looking forward to Westworld on Saturday though!

  • Mike Elsner

You have a lot of Friday’s TV panels listed under the “Movie” heading. May want to fix that. Very helpful list btw!

  • twman09

I don’t have Friday or Saturday, so consider yourself lucky!

  • Elizabeth Connell

Does anyone know if Sid and Marty Krofft will return this year’s Comic Con?

  • Devri

Why is Marvel Studios listed under Sunday panels. They have always been on Saturday.

  • They’re not! They’re under “No Date Announced”. We suspect Saturday as well – but technically not confirmed.

  • Annabella G

My original issue is that regardless of how it’s presented, sleeping on the hard, cold ground for long hours is silly. As a teen, I’d probably do it too because as you pointed out, they all do it. As an adult however, I know better. Hope everyone has fun. There is so much stuff to do there that this just isn’t necessary.

I’ve been seeing a post go around about a mini master class panel on what not to do in animation writing, headed up by the story editor on Elena of Avalor. Does anyone have news or confirmation on that? If it’s a master class do I need to sign up for it ahead or time, or is this just another way to title a normal panel?

  • D.Campbell

I don’t know if you’ve ever tried to get into Hall H on Saturday. If not, I suggest you read up on it. Spoilers: It ain’t easy!

  • Adam

As a co-host of the Blood Drive Podcast… I want in that screening! Still hopeful that there is a panel and that they use this as the SyFy Cafe
